Whelp, this post should be the third time this season I said something that happened right afterwards

And I don't want to add fuel to the Phil fire, but I hate that guy. Hero my ass, what kind of hero threatens a captive that no longer poses a threat? Go after her friends if she doesn't come quietly, ah yeah prick, but forcing himself onto her in exchange for her life? What kind of hero was he again?

I don't know about you folks, but Phil is an asshole. An insult to what the Hero title really means to those who worked hard for it, it seems to me this Phil happened to be a strong guy and just brute forced his way into situations. What kind of greater good is this guy trying to live for if all he's doing is ruining the lives of many around him, I say a true hero is one who gets his job done without all the Philism

Here's something else. I think this Phil is a coward. If what these episode 10 preview pics are what I say they are, then he really is:

Take a look at his cape. It's battle damaged (it was intact before their fight), meaning Akat gave him a good beating, to the point where Phil is using Miu as a hostage. Yeah, Phil has a title and it's not Hero

Here's something that perplexes me though:

lol no, it's not correcting me, my comments preceded episode 09 What's clear is yet again character development was well done here, go back to the end of episode 2 and the 3 girls banded together to put an end to Akat's meddlesome ways, 7 episodes later we see that these girls have both Akat and Miu figured out, and as it's been said several times in this thread, they just can't hate the guy And how about Haruka too, throwing aside her ego to take orders from Akat Not bad for a 12 episode series. 12... that's too little

And that's the difference between Phil and Akatsuki. They are actually opposites of each other, Akatsuki's actions has bettered Miu and her friends, while Phil has totally trampled on Miu and her friends. Ah, what can I say. I was wondering what kind of villian this series would have for a semi-retired hero, I guess Phil fits that description down pat

Spoiler for Yuusha 10 - Uncertain Victor:

The end of this episode just left me in a confused emotional state. The fight against Phil was over and done with fairly quickly, and with seemingly no major complications. Not the direction I was hoping for for the story, but it fits with the established pattern. Then it turns out Akatsuki's poisoned, and things haven't gone entirely right for once. And he ends up doing something similar to episode two, only I'm sure he's conscious this time. And nope, he's alright. But then Phil is still alive, so maybe it's not a complete success...? The episode basically ended in a stalemate on all accounts. Maybe instead of failure, what I should be hoping for is for Akatsuki to win a fight with someone, become a team player. He has cooperated with others before, in the sense of making sure the area is clear so that he can do things on his own, but maybe doing things with others would be a good step forward. Every hero needs a party, after all.

Episode 10 is kinda crazy.. watched raw and only understood parts since the conversations were not your typical anime fare.

Spoiler for Episode 10 synopsis:

Akatsuki immediately attacks Phil with his AD sword.. its so powerful that Phil is sent airborne(though Phil's sword scratched Akatsuki) The battle continues a little bit with Akatsuki pawning Phil until Phil starts trying to verbal terrorize/beat Akatsuki about Listy(Risty?) from Alezzard.

I am not sure about this part.. its either a threat or something thats already happened, but it involves the complete destruction of the World Gate in Alezzard with Listy flashbacks. What ever it was resulted in Akatsuki ignoring it and going to kill Phil. Phil takes advantage of speed magic to get to Miu and us her as a hostage(I think thats Akatsuki weakness.. he doesn't have extreme speed, just very good speed)

Another conversation issue's with Phil trying a different threat tactic(about Babel finding out about Miu,etc) In the end Phil gets enraged by Akatsuki and trys to cut his head off using his speed.. Akatsuki blocks it and literally pummels Phil deep into the ground. Miu runs off so Akatsuki doesn't give the coup de grace to Phil.

Miu tries to kill herself since she is a person that will cause everyone around her to suffer and will cause Alezzard trouble too. Akatsuki saves her, gives her a good talking to(defining moment) and then claims her as HIS woman!! Not as his sister.

Akatsuki collapses soon after.. remember that scratch Phil gave him? Well Phil's weapons are apparently poisoned(sick f***!) For some damn reason miu gets down to her pantsu to [Queue obligatory groping] followed by a severely weakened Akatsuki( who healed himself).

Guess who shows up? Phil of course and this time he is going to pull out all the stops.. I am almost certain he changes himself into a dragon or he was actually a dragon.

I really like this episode.. its really interesting plus Miu is FREAKING HOT in this one!!

Apparently, Akatsuki's main ability is to manipulate energy, within him and around him. What he threw was an energy ball.

So Phil not only is evil, he is dillusional and a hypocrit. Like we don't have enough reasons to dislike him. His main purpose in life is to become a hero in the other world, and anything that gets in his way is considered wrong to him. Of course, when he is doing it, it's fine. Just others aren't allowed.

So Akatsuki was holding back in the fight. Well, really, I think the best thing to do is just permanently disable Phil. You know, break his arms and an ankle or two. That would solve a lot of problems right now, without having to kill him, since Akatsuki is the true hero.

As for the battle, I expect it will continue until dawn, at which point, the class president will come back and finish off Phil once and for all. For what Phil will transform into, I'm guessing he took demon remains and incorporated them into himself (so he can be an even bigger hypocrit than he already is).

Looks like Phil's fighting abilities are nowhere near Akki's.
The only problem is that Phil is a sneaky bastard.
Miu was pretty down by the whole thing..
Akki's motivational speech did the trick of cheering her up.

Nothing was really unexpected. Phil getting curb stomped. Akatsuki being weakened as well (didn't see the poison coming but the end result is the same), Myuu being all like "Everywhere I go I'll cause suffering" to Akatsuki snapping her out of it again.

The "warming his body" moment was of course pure fanservice. (yes I know that it is actually a pretty efficient means of keeping somebody warm, but seriously that's just a narrative excuse) Akatsuki not being able to help himself was funny. But it's not really hard to blame him for that. I mean put yourself in his "position".

Phil coming back for round two was the obvious next thing to happen. As well as him having to show his "true power".


Not to say it's a bad episode, I mean we did see Akatsuki owning Phil and his motives like a boss. But it was predictable.

even trying used miu as shield & drop sword yep boss many steps ahead cue rapid punch attack down goes phil.

yet miu try to drown herself to stop all this but boss akatsuki said NO cause think of everyone also why she exist cause boss akatsuki will protect it all.

oops seem boss is bit poison so miu try to heal go for "rub" heal but boss more fast quicker healer give get a kiss from miu would help too.

all good but phil just now cash in his money in the bank for round 2.

Then gets it on with Miu who unwisely came to the conclusion that killing herself is the only way. Of Course BAWS MC fixes this, and gets hot and heavy. Even though Kirito might have banged Asuna, he still had to actually BANG her. Akatsuki didn't even have to whip out the big gun and still was able to get Miu to orgasm.....HARD. Seriously, what's your schedule looking like after this anime season bro, got some free time or something?

Phil is back, but I really wasn't surprised. And I'm also not surprised that they were gonna find a way to make this a serious threat for Akatsuki, so he's hurt from the poison and Phil undergoes some Demon like power up. Next week is gonna be good. Miu got her mutual fap session, wonder if we can squeeze in the others girls before the season ends.
