Noo idea how many they'll make, but seen as the first was on the first DVD and the second on the fifth I'd say 3, at most 4, is a reasonable assumption. 3 seems a better idea to me because it does risk getting tired after a while, this episode was already not as funny as the first.

I think it's just the two, actually - there are only 8 DVDs in total. 1 & 5 had an extras disc, 2 & 6 had/have boxes to hold 4 volumes each. So, unless they decide to do another similar extra to accompany the movie (or any future Shana anime projects), I think that's all we'll see of Shana-tan.

Oh yeah I was under the impression there were more volumes for some reason, but now I've worked it out... I wouldn't discount the possibility of there being one with the movie though, if only for the 'To be continued?' at the end.

Ah well, either way, that's a long way off. No new Shana-tan for a while at least, that's for sure.

While making my latest avatar from "Shanatan Returns" I ended up with a couple extra so I'll give these away to anyone who wants them.

Maybe at the start of the festival appears on DVD, then we'll probably get the return return of Shana-tan.

Here's hoping. ^^

That's the R1 volume 1 cover. Even though they're calling it Shana, observe that "Shakugan no" is still in the logo. TBH, I like the style of the English logo a lot better than that of the Japanese logo--the flame in the S is a little bit much, but the blade-like look of the N is hot stuff.

Hmm, hopefully thats only a fresh version - i wanna see Shana's read hair and all.

& i just gotta say, i'm so happy they're going with Noizi Ito's art for the front covers, just like the R2 Japanese ones. <3

I approve of this hot, yummy cover!

God I wish it's September already, but that also the time I go back to school. >_<

Yup, I imagine the actual colours will be less blue/purple, just like the R2 DVD 1 cover - her hair is bright orangy-red on it. I guess the (small) question is, since the first volume is solicited for 100 minutes (4 episodes), that'll mean probably 6 DVDs in R1 (vs. 8 in R2) - so, I wonder which two covers they'll drop, and if they'll include it some other way (reversable cover? a pencil board?). I'm also assuming they'll spread the extras over the 6 discs (well, it could be 7 too, I guess) rather than doing the "bonus disc" idea. All in all, I'm still impressed that it's coming so quickly (though, I guess that's one of the benefits of co-producing).

Am I the only person who thought the logo looked a bit tooo tacky? It kind of reminds me of Tokyopop's Chobits logo -_-; Oh well, I guess the American market wants busy designs.

Is this the one going to be the front pic for the dub DVD? That's a strange logo.

As for the logo, I don't know... I see where it came from in light of the original Japanese logo (with the sword, etc.), but that bevelled/textured/3D thing is very typical North Amercan fare. I think it looks too busy for the front cover, but I imagine it could look pretty slick on its own on a black backdrop. (Which, by the black shadowing all around it, you can tell was the logo artist's intent.) In any case, though, it's just a logo.
