Clannad Game Translation Project

I don't the the option for a Japanese locale, but the unofficial English patch works fine for me without it. Except for the problems I already talked about, but I can fix them by re-installing the game, I guess.. By the way, how would I go about re-installing it so as to not lose any save files or CG files? Cuz I completed Nagisa, Tomoyo, and Kotomi and I don't wanna lose them.

Just backup the "SAVEDATA" folder, then copy it to the new installation

Spoiler for the glowing orbs of light in the above post:

I found out something while playing on Yukine's route. It seems that since I did Tomoyo's route (without doing Misae's route) I still got an orb of light. It looks like they appear on the main menu screen. It seems that you can get an orb of light by completing a path that was required before you do the path that you're doing, without getting an orb of light from the required path - like mentioned above - first.

Hope this further aids the person who asked about this thing.

You get one of the lights at the end of most routes. Misae is an exception, since you get her's in the middle of Tomoyo's route right after you beat Misae's route. I believe there's one other that you must wait til After Story to get.

I already know from walkthroughs that if you go through nagisa's path after fuukos, you will use up fuuko's light, but what if you start on nagisa's path BEFORE you start fuuko's? How does that affect the storyline?

So about the whole light thing, I played Tomoyo's path first. I didn't notice anything about the lights until I had played a few other routes (including Misae's), so now I'm trying to go back and get one light that I should've gotten along the way. I'm pretty sure its either Tomoyo's or Misae's since i screwed up the route play-order, but I can't seem to get it no matter how many times I replay either route. So does this mean I won't be able to get to the after story just because I messed up the play order?

I have finished all the routes and the subquests I could find, submitted all the corrections I found other than consistency stuff ("nee-san" vs. "older sister", etc.), and now I have ran out of things to do over my winter vacation...

um so velocity7, your patch will not support the old clannad game? (one without voice/ with unofficial voice patch?) or it will both support the old clannad and the new clannad game with voice?

just want to know = ) my wallet has already started screaming when little buster ex news came out, and with this.. oh well = S

Recently, Key has announced there will be a Full Voice version of CLANNAD PC released on February 29, 2008[1]. This has affected plans on distribution. Originally, a patch that allowed those who had/did not have the voice patch to be able to play. Now two patches will likely have to be issued, including one for the Full Voice version. --Velocity7 11:41, 31 December 2007 (PST)

I'm a bit confused now.

So is the patch officially finished now because I see links for the patch everywhere while the last time I checked was that the project was at 75 to 80ish percent complete.

It's an unofficial patch with a few small errors, and After Story untranslated. But other than that it's fine.
