i just finished claymore, and its by far my favorite anime[:

i don't know what to watch now

so can i have some suggestions please?

Similar to claymore, a great bet is Berserk, which is like Claymore with a male lead.

Besides Berserk and Claymore, no other anime are that great in hard action European melee swordsmanship. Yet, there are the following samurai/vampire movies.

Sword of the Stranger
Trust and Betrayal
Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust

Ep. 122 of Naruto Shipuuden gave me a "Claymore" vibe when I saw what happened
to Kabuto.......

Samurai Champloo has some good action with swords.

Ga Rei Zero - Also very nice sword action vs demon.
Black Lagoon - Very great gunfight.
Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~ - More gunfight. Now with romance.
Gunslinger Girl - Another gunfight. This one with loli

Soul Eater - Action with great laugh, but nice fighting scene.
FMA Brotherhood - Also have a good fighting scene, this time with alchemy.
Mai-HiME & Mai-Otome - Not a new anime, but very good.

Here are some, please look them up at animenewsnetwork.com or anime-planet.com to see if they are what you are looking for.

1) Samurai 7
2) Rurouni Kenshin
3) Basilisk (same feel as Claymore)
4) Peace Maker
5) Fight/stay Night
6) Utawarerumono
7) jyu-oh Sei

Those are a few that I can think of.. The best fit for you would be Berserk or maybe Basilisk.. But i can see that other people have given you good recommendations as well..
