To be brutially honest i dont like very many animated sigs.
Animating something for the hell of it just cheapens it for me especially when the sig turns out tiny but in saying that it can workout well in some cases. Kina if you really wanna animate one anyway take the first image turn it 90 degrees clockwise cut out spacesuit man and animate the earth rotating behind him. Failing that just animate the bolt spinning in space.

Where's the fun in that? There's an idea, but we'll see how it goes .. The idea is there, and I can roughly guesstimate how to do it, the only thing left to see how much it cost me, in term of filesize.
I agree animating something just for animated sig is silly, thats why I tried to make a new idea each time. That, and I totally cant compete with the lots of you when it come to normal sig. ┐(-。ー')┌

lol i dislike animations because gif quality isnt as pixel perfect with sharpening as a png is (sharp perfection is a must for my fan glory) however animations are fun every now and then
Also, to keep the file size down, cant u just keep the floating down to a minimum? You can also re-use slices to keep the size down i believe (im assuming slices means frames? because slices literally means slices like on a web layout O.o and i can't connect that to animations in any way) marksellus its okay, but you got alot of jpeg artifacts it seems and its ruining your edges of your renders and anything that contrasts in the image Also, I notice you have a habit of leaving your name on all of your sigs, but really you shouldn't put it there jsut for credit like that otherwise it breaks the flow. If you include your name, you should make it part of the sig and not just a corner decoration, trust me it helps the flow alot (don't look at my sig below >< its a bad example). oh sorry, i just noticed but perhaps, are you using gimp? I'm not sure if quality control of Jpegs is part of gimp. If it isn't, you should really save it as a png then. Last edited by Ehko; 2009-01-08 at 11:10. |

It's a unsual mixt space and girl with katana.
It's good looking, but the 3 color space as backgroung feel strange. A 2 colors ( one for the usual space and une for a gaz and ice cloud) could feel more realist.

Thanks KiNA and Ehko, things definitely noted. And yes, Ehko I'm using Gimp.
@White Manju Bun: Ooh pretty background. I don't really like the "Stars are" font. It looks really...plain/blunt? and doesn't fit well with the blazing. I like the idea of two different fonts though.
