Two thoughts:

1) If you looked really close, there were several visual references to the Airsoft Match in FLCL. Which should be expected for Gainax.

2) Where was this Gainax with Medaka Box? Medaka looked terrible most of the time and this is anything but terrible looking.

Karila used the M60 machine gun, while she mains the FN P90.
Yachiyo uses an Accuracy International AWP as her main firearm. Used a Sig Sauer pistol in this episode.
Honoka uses a Heckler and Koch G36, and uses the M1911 in this episode.
Sonora uses a Deagle, obviously.
Rento uses an AK-47 as her main firearm. Used a Smith and Wesson M1911 in this episode.
Yura mains a Škorpion vz. 61 and uses a Beretta pistol in this episode.

Loved it, good stuff. Yura made a good framing character to add some emotional substance to the episode. Also, the 'pervert' talk is hilarious.

I think I'll enjoy this more than GuP 'cause the focus will be on smaller teams. Maybe that'll leave room for more individual character development. Incidentally, the OP is badass; I'm quite liking the character designs of some of the upcoming opponent teams too.

give with offer them yet cake work well for yura & give thought would be tea, candy, cakes, & girl time til they just show weapons being like c3-bu expendables.

yura run give bit hmm give past not much friends or living in fairy tail cinderella story then got cake’d trap to c3-bu expendables to give try to see how their club works.

so they play rambo vs sheriff with yura a sheriff & blonde going rambo to shoot all while want chew bubblegum yet during the playing it yura tempt & feel the real rambo doing

& we see another female doing shoting with real ammo?

Yes, but it looks better, and firearms are more appealing to normal people then tanks were.

Anyway, I was more surprised by how detailed the background art was... the second half in the forest was like KyoAni/SHAFT visual porn

I can't agree with the "looks better" part, the animation quality was what disappointed me a little, expected a bit better for a 2013 show.

The concept of a "war game anime" interests me, that made me want to follow this series.

Nothing really bad, but it just didn't gel for me. When it comes to Girls und small arms, I much preferred Upotte.

Or the airsoft battle of School Rumble (though that was coed).

Here... I guess it was a bit flat overall. Except maybe Rambo.

it is me or there is a sudden boom to Girl+air gun setting? i swear there are like 3 or 4 new manga with exact same setting mean Girl joining a air gun club.

In any case the background art caught my attention, and personally I prefer these character designs to the style used in Girls und Panzer.

The whole show should be in the Rambo style. Hope to see more of those fantasies from Yura. Otherwise it didn’t appeal that much too me, not really funny at all. But I am positive that Kashima will improve it next week.

If I keep watching this, but, as cliche as it may be, I might write a zombie apocalypse fic, probably a crossover with Highschool of the Dead. I just figured Kouta, along with the cast of the C3 armed with real-life versions of their weapons, would be awesome.

Also, have Honoka wield an M249 SAW or fire off multiple AT4s at once at some point. Imaginary cookie for anyone who gets the seiyuu joke.
