You can discuss the novel and its moments, even doing as the translation progresses "Yay, 4c4 is out!!!" .... you just can't say WHERE or provide links. Just the same as any MFI anime series or series that gets licensed or C&D'd during its run.
Discussions about HOW a particular piece of translation should be written is also best taken to the project site as well I suppose --- that's the best place for that sort of talk anyway. In this thread, you just discuss the story itself.

i might have a clue as to why...but it's purely speculation so i'm better off not saying it.

salv, barb, I'm seriously going to bed after this!! SERIOUS!
anyway...I'm gone for a little stint, and when I show up...the translation thread is missing...I think we just have a little case of Haruhism getting mixed in somewhere, creating a void which sucked it away. lol. Anyway, like all novels, discussions are fine, etc. For example, you read the japanese version, but there's something you don't get or want to say, so you ask, etc. Just because you say it in english doesn't mean anything. as for it's translation...well, there is the liscence, A-S's locking rules, and then theres the idiot moon's locking policies. all I know is one thing...it will probably be the first light novel in english I ever buy all the other ones are okay to be translated, but nothing peaks my interest like SandW, I can't wait to have books like the japanese ones I have now...lol, sweet...but 2009...all I can do to sate my tastebuds is find alternative ways to understand the "japanese text" |

Alright, section 3/4 is up. That's 1/3 of the chapter done. The remaining 2/3 is a single section that's 43 pages in length, so it probably won't be done for a while...
Anyway, it's time for me to finish up my remaining reports and bring this semester to a close. |

Volume X is released on February 10. The cover illustration of this volume is an image of daytime. But it seems to be quite cold because winter is near. Spoiler for the preview of Vol.10:
Although it is not a novel, Dengekibunko Magazine Vol.6 is released on the same day. It has a feature article of a second season, and an original illustration for anime. http://dengekibunko.dengeki.com/new/dmmagazine_new.php Last edited by Kaguya; 2009-01-24 at 23:30. |

just a quick update before i rush off to my chinese new year dinner.
i have compiled a beta of the ebook. more or less ready for viewing but i have yet to implement the advanced features and polish it to make it a spectacular first final release. pages in total roughly 240 as opposed to original novel of about 310 pages. i guess the higher resolution makes it use slightly less pages. hence, its closed-end distribution for now. if you would like to help me test it out (to see if the text corresponds to the wiki and other details like that) feel free to pm me. Um... Am I the only one who can't access the Spice and Wolf page on BT?
