Well, I recall this account of how that Haruna's guns were at their highest elevation when she capsized in shallow water. Haruna's guns refused to respond and remained pointed to the sky, reducing her crew to tears as they abandon ship, no doubt thinking that the ship still desired to fight even at her last moments.

That's definitely a fake:
1) if you rotate Haruna's sprite to 180°, you will notice it is the exact same thing than the pseudo spoiler
2) It doesn't make sense for her kai ni to not have the same armaments as her sisters. Even Hiei and Kirishima, who had that X shaped cannon cluster, had something in line with Kongou Kai ni.

5-3 is really annoying.... the good thing got the night battle equips such as search light star shells and night recon plane .... just need one more run ....

I just used subs and it wasn't that bad.

re 5-3: Some people I know use subs to knock down the boss meter down to maybe 1/5th (there's no need to rush anyway, as the bar doesn't regenerate), then use their best night battle fleet to finish off the map. Less resources, I suppose.

Looks like my first "advanced" Kai 2 is going to be... Naka-chan. To be fair, my best fleet has an average of 55 or something, so this is a big deal.

I did some part of 5-3 with Iona, and the rest in good'ol fashioned Night battle fleet. It was annoying.

What's the best formation in 4-4 boss mode with that sub? Double line or Diamond?

I usually choose single line for boss node. If you stick 3x Type 3 sonar into a DD, you will be able to down most subs imo (if your DD or CL is not in orange)

Ignore that sub. You don't need to score a S rank except for the marriage quest line. So just use line ahead, and you should have a A rank.

People just ignore the sub for 4-4. All you need to do is to clear, which means you can still sink EVERYTHING ELSE and unlock world 5.
