There was/is development for Miu. Not all development in the story must be able the male lead.

Except Kenichi has had very little development over the last couple hundred chapters. Miu probably got more this arc than he has in the past several arcs. Was hoping this arc would break him out of the stagnant state he's in, but I guess not.

March 14? That's rough, but I can wait it out for the story's sake.

As for your theory about how Kenichi can win, erm, a bit much. And if he did anything that inane, he'd either get pummeled by Miu or Hayato himself. Yeah, ero doesn't always prevail, Kenichi, hopefully this fight has taught you that.

You're not the only one, I assure you. A lot of people want to see the epic grudge match, even though I fear it'll be Hongo's last. But hey, as you said, he'll be reunited with Shou afterwards, so it works out. And Sakaki will doubtlessly come to avenge his fallen rival. And should he fail, Hayato definitely won't. It's personal now, Jenazad, prepare to feel epic pain.

Yes and no about Kenichi's development. We know his skills definitely improved (see his chest grab special

). His relationship with Miu has taken a step forward. He dared to stand up to the elder by demanding for the right to date Miu.

Regarding his character and motivations, yes that hasn't quite changed. But we could argue that his character not changing is one of the key points of the whole manga. It is about a coward who somehow finds courage to stand up to scary opponents due to positive motivations.

He was a good character..and funny...even if he was a villain..in the end...only suffered from loneliness...for me...was the best if he in the end of the tournament, would survive...

he is gone..has a hero...

Wow, now that was a piece of work. Even if much of the story was flashbacks, seeing Hermit's side to the whole ordeal was very nice. His shock at hearing about Shou's death must've been immense. And a pity he couldn't help Shou get over his "winning is everything" mental roadblock, which inevitably lead to his downfall. What a tragic figure, let's hope Hongo lives long enough to get his disciple's earring. Until then...

In the end, he helped Kenichi to find Miu.. And Helped Sakaki and Hongo to find the castle... Interesting..
