Lelouch has officially earned my sympathy... I am really starting to feel bad for the guy... But still, he is losing everyone because of his goals. It is quite a conundrum really... It is obvious that he is very emotionally weak when it comes to loss, and I feel really bad for him because of that. As long as nothing like Ep. 23 happens again, I don't think I can hate the character...

Plus he's one of the few people that if they had power wouldn't run about like an idiot and abuse it, probably wouldn't even want the bloody thing in the first place. Even more so after being shafted by the geass. He really is starting to realise that an increase in his power&influence is inversely proportional to his own personal happiness. Plus it would be a true punishment for his sins(keeps the Suzaku fanboys happy to). |

True but at least he could still play out his role as Zero to the end then.
I mean "as long as the strong continue to torment the weak, i shall continue to rebel" could be a foreshadowing of him truly becoming the defender of justice(whether he believes in or not) forever as atonement for his sins and to maintain Nunnally's, Suzaku's and Kallens dream for as long as possible. He is that sort of self-sacricing idiot after all. |
