Ya'll keep in mind that the networks are calling results with very small percentages actually counted. I would have thought the damn networks had learned their lesson with early calls in the 2000 election. In other words, the "coverage" is mostly a house of cards game.

I loathe the imaginary horse race they create on the commercial networks.

What will be really interesting is how the Congressional races play out.

No kidding. Channels like MSNBC are projecting wins with not even 20% counted.

Actually, FOX might be the funniest thing to watch tonight. Those guys are not going to be invited to parties (or press briefings).

Statistically speaking you only need .25% of the total number to develop a forcast.

A black president. Good or bad for change?

It's going to be a bigger challenge than anytime back in the days for Obama to reunite America after this election - The McCain supporters' and Obama supporters' hatred towards each other seems to have escalated out of hand. A lot of open racism will be common.

God Bless America ? I hope people open up.. I feel that because of the few who don't want Obama's change, a lot of others will be affected... After all, if Obama couldn't open the closed minds of those who despise him during the campaign, how much different would it be during the presidential term? Hopefully very different. Hopefully the future would be bright for America... And hopefully the first black president wouldn't become the biggest scapegoat (however unlikely), due to the unpleasant situation that America is in right now..

It doesn't matter whether "USA cars" (that doesn't mean much anymore; most cars are assembled internationally) are great or not -- if the banks are giving out loans to buy them. Toyota is often more "USA" than a Ford since Toyota plants tend to be end-to-end assembly plants in the US for US sales.

Iowa is called for Obama.

Iowa where everything started for Obama.

It looks like Obama can win it without winning MO (Good bye to their bellweather status), Flordia, and Virigina

Personally I think its going to embolden more people to NOT PUT UP with racist venom and stand up to it when it trickles out.

My mother is priceless when she says something racist and I thump her. You have to picture a 70 year old woman telling her 51 year old son he'll understand when he grows up.... and then she fades out as it becomes clear even to her just how stupid that just sounded. My mum's what you might call a "closet racist"; she likes to put on as if she's open-minded.

Obama 207
McCain 135

I'll literallly shit myself if my statement about McCain winning California unbelievably comes true. Even if he did somehow win Cal it'd still be bleak for McCain.

Obama takes Iowa, McCain takes Utah

Meanwhile...

The species known as the Republican Representative from New England is extinct.
