I think that Double AA commercial was 'copied' from an old Japanese candy commercial.

EDIT: While not really funny in that time, its funny to see how their grandchildren become fans of Japanese anime and manga today.

Each generation is different from another. My grandfather is a resistance fighter during WWII against the Japanese, but I still enjoy watching anime and embrace the Japanese culture. War is started by politicians, fought by soldiers, and won by the spirit of the civilians, but ironically we actually blame soldiers for war crime rather than the politicians who sent them to bleed out there.

Similar, but reverse for me. My maternal grandfather was an Imperial Japanese commander based in Singapore.

My parents work in the Singapore Embassy in Tokyo.

I use very Singaporean things like Osim chairs, subscribe to the Mr Brown show. (Oi, le kua simi?) And I seriously cannot imagine life without chilli. (Most Japanese can't take even a little chilli.)

And worse still, thanks to my time in Singapore, my Japanese pales in comparison to my English and Mandarin (Higher Chinese anyone?)
