Cygames' "Shingeki no Bahamut: Manaria Friends" will be getting an anime adaptation for 2016.

Plot Summary:

The TV anime will star Yōko Hikasa as Anne, the honor student princess, and Ayaka Fukuhara as Grea, a princess born from a dragon and a human. Both voice actresses are reprising their roles from the game. Mysteria Academy is a prestigious magic school that teaches magic without discrimination to the three factions (men, gods, demons), who usually are engaged in battle with each other. The anime will follow the two young women as students at the academy.

Well, I don't know anything about the game, but I did like many elements of the original SnB, so despite this looking NOTHING like the original anime, maybe those elements I liked so much will transfer over(unfortunately, it looks like the setting is not one of them =0( ).

I saw that promo video a while back when someone posted it as a horrifying example of what we might have gotten instead of Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis. Personally, I thought it looked a lot better than most of the generic magic academy LN adaptations out there. I'm perfectly happy to be getting both this and a second season of Genesis.

Its first ep will get pre-screen on 20 March. Normally, they don't do pre-screen for short anime ( I think...) so maybe it is actually full-time anime??
