If you want to watch an american comzom done well, look for "Dance of the Dead", not the one from Masters of Horror, the 2008 one by Gregg Bishop. I firstly d/led it by accident thinking I had d/led the Masters of Horror episode. Then I sat through it, thinking to myself, "oh god, prom day + the archetypes of american students from generic sitcoms + zombies! This is going to be a trainwreck!"

Instead, I found a rather enjoyable independant movie without any further pretentions than showing stereotypical nerds ending up to "save the day", well, what it could be saved. Also, a band stopping zombies with The Power of Rock is a more awesome concept than it sounds.

as long as the anime follows the same formula as the manga everything will be fine. the only thing way this will happen though is if they get a decent director.

I fail to understand your worries. The only thing they hold in similarity is Character Designer. It is the director that will dictate the mood of the show (no wait, the production commitiee will give tons of "notes" as well). If anything you should be happy they got such a good character designer. From that Newtype spread, the adaptions are fine, in fact very good considering how unique the manga drawings are.

Yeah but see thing is....

I hate Aki's high-pitch, squeaky voice. It's annoying, it's not cute, I think her singing is horrible and I think she should be gagged.

Although I listen to SPHERE, I usually focus on the other 3's voices and pretend Aki doesn't exist. And maybe they'll replace her with Yoko? If I were to rate SPHERE in terms of cuteness....

yeah would have to agree with this. from whats been released so far the character design looks very good and have stuck to manga art style very well. if they keep the story like they have kept the manga art im sure everyone will be very happy with how this series will turn out
