To be fair, I had heard a lot of Nanoha fans who were disappointed that Madoka was NOT Nanoha. Myself, I cheer for Shinbo for experimenting with the genre, instead of sticking to old recipes.

I agree with you, i would rather have nanoha remain nanoha, with the over the top fights and martial arts tournaments, madoka remain madoka, with the weird surprises and the horrible persons who break down and prism nana to remain whatever it's gonna be.

I don't care what this series will be like, just as long as the story is great, and the characters are interesting and likeable. From the PV's and the art that was shown it looks to be very promising, at least to me. I wonder how this will differ from Mahou Shoujo's considering that they said that it isn't categorized as one, and it definitely looks like the part itself.

I don't think I'd like it if it were a 'Madoka version 2'. Madoka Magica was show unlike many other, and I think it would disappoint a lot of people if it had the same approach to it, only with different characters and setting.
Whatever it is, I think SHAFT will make it interesting, without borrowing too much on their earlier success formulas.

Interview between Kantoku and SHAFT's Animation Producer Okada Yasuhiro (Madoka Magica's Production Manager) is up.
Interview page in official website Yes, white text on white background. It's meant to be embedded within the darker background home. The interview is mostly about character designs. Okada suggests that he choose Kantoku because his illustration matches with the Minky Momo image he had for the project. If this interview were to suggest anything, it probably won't going to take Madoka Magica steps, which is good. |

The character design seems a little "inconsistent" in the "boob department". The uniforms make them look like 10 yo, the swimsuits makes them look like 20 yo with the hear of a 10yo. Or maybe it's just the trailer i saw.
Unless the story is as twisted as Madoka, i think this will be a big case of same old same old. Not a bad thing, BUT...

They look young to me. Clothes are also age appropriate. Just stroll into the girl's section of Walmart or Target and you see similar stuff.

yeah, but i think he is talking about the serious boob size change when they wearing swimsuit in the PV. The uniforms make them look 10 year old flat while the swimsuit make them have breast size of a well endowed woman in their 20s with a 10 year old body

But really from the other scenes, it pretty obvious to me that those girls aren't flat.
