lol that Noitamina is doing this. But aside from that, I'm quite pleased to hear this is coming.

I think one thing I've noticed this year is that the Noitamina slot has consisted of two very different shows.
The more traditional Noitamina show, e.g. Hourou Musuko, Ano Hana, Usagi Drop...
The somewhat more 'mainstream' type of show, e.g. Fractale, C, No. 6.

I guess if doing something like BRS brings in the money, then so long as that enables them to do at least one show a season that, while it may not be a big seller, is more the traditional Noitamina show, then maybe this more otaku-friendly fare in half the slot is a necessary evil.

But if they deviate entirely from their original remit, that would be a sad day. It's a hell of a long way from Honey and Clover, that's for sure.

We shall see. The news that Yamamoto isn't involved can only be one thing in its favour.

Well, no Yamakan = at least worth a look.

Not terribly excited since there really is no proper plot to this thing. At this point Black Rock Shooter could be a story about marine biologists.

I wouldn't consider AnoHana a traditional noitaminA at all, it was definitely otaku centric. And I think you have the mainstream stuff is the more tradition noitaminA shows, the ones you listed as mainstream are otaku centric.

All we need now is a visual novel complete with Huke's art.

Oh yes please.
Hopefully there will be less schoolgirls because that was the thing that I originally didn't like much in the OVA. And more Black Gold Saw please. + some of huke's other characters. I thought Black Devil Girl was in the picture on the official site just because of the glasses but nooope.

Basically, I cannot say no to more BRS. 8 A 8
So, excitement. <3

Hope it's better than the OVA. Great animation but nothing much else.

Hmm, don't know if want... Cuz this is either going to be bad, meh, or decent. I can already tell it won't be "omg wow".

My only impression remaining from the OVAs is that it was really bad.

But surely, with more episodes, it will at least be okay...?

He talks a lot, though that shouldn't have any effect on his merits as a director, which isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be. Hell, it's not bad at all, I've enjoyed most of the works he's headed with the exception of Fractale, which I blame on noitaminA being anal about 11 episode limits.

Uh, why would you blame noitaminA on Fractales failures? Yamakan knew what he was getting by going for that slot so he/his team should make it work.

I hope so this time. Though if he wanted a unique number, he can simply make 19/21/29 episodes.

I just hope this one will be better than the OVA.
Watched that, was not really impressed aside from the fancy optics every now and then.
