No. 7 sounds like Jinne 'Kurogasa' Udo. Kenshin's ex-hitokiri colleague.
No. 8 is Gein, no. 9 is Cho Kawagejo and no.10 Kujiranami.

I have dvd collection for this series, but I would like to have the authentic "Revenge Arc" in manga!

ENishi rockx! oh yeah, Kenshin and Sano, and Saitou---and so on.

Yes, Enishi seems to be a constant in "favorite characters"

I do find it funny that Kaoru seems to be absent in the "favorite characters" list.

Really? The list just mentioned is of the "favorite villains" in the series. If I remeber correctly, Kaoru was fairly high up there.

I've taken a brief hiatus from the Ruroken manga (for some Shingetsutan Tsukihime action!) But I've stopped near the beginning of the Kyoto Arc, after Kenshin's dealt with the broom-headed guy.
Btw, is Seta Soujiro supposed to be Shishio's little messenger or is it Seito Hajime? If it's neither, don't tell me who the other two are, I probably haven't read that far yet.

Soujirou

Saitou is the police officer, former shinsengumi 3rd squard leader

I'm really glad that Kenshin will be going monthly at the end of the year; I don't think I could bear only one volume of Kyoto goodness every other month.

Well... I've just finished volume 15, and I'm liking the Kyoto Arc immensely. The 10 Swords are insane,
Spoiler:
For some reason, tho, it looks like Shishio's quite attractive to men too. lol
Spoiler:
My only gripe so far is Honjou Kamatari.
Spoiler:
O well... I guess nothing's perfect... Gome-nasai, Megumi-san...

Sagara Sanosuke? Confused?

I am confused some what as to why Sagara Sanosuke is based on the 10th captain of the Shinsengumi Harada Sanosuke. He fought for the Tokugawa regime yet Sanosuke in the manga is clearly on the side of the Meiji government in the group of the Sekihotai.

I am confused why is Sanosuke based on a member of the opposite side to the one he is in?

Do you know his back story and have you read the whole manga? Because when he first appears he wants to defeat kenshin and then later tries to destroy some government building when he bumps into an old friend.

I am on Volume 2, two chapters in, will all be revealed then? I assumed Sagara Sanosuke is a good guy as he was in the Sekihotai which fought for the Meiji government in real life.

I cannot find a link between Harada Sanosuke (Sagara) and the real life Sekihotai who Sagara Sozo from the manga was supposed to be captain of. This is why i am confused. If they are both shown as they were part of Sekihotai in the manga why is Sanosuke based on someone from the Shinsengumi? I don't see the link.

I didn't like the manga, for some reason I just couldn't get into it and found it pretty boring. The art is rather well done though, the story was just not my cup of tea really. I thought I would enjoy it especially after seeing Samurai X and looking into Kenshin's past but the manga doesn't compare to the story of his past.

Or isn't there supposed to be a direct link between these two in their real life counterparts?

About 6-8 IIRC. It really has been a while, so I'm not too sure if this is right.
