I can see dead people...
...well, not quite. ^^
After i found some good recommendations last time, i ask for help once again. Today, after 4 years (...) the American-Canadian show "Dead like me" started in german television. I never heard about it before, but quite enjoyed it nonetheless. It reminded me of Shinigami no ballad, which i thought was great. In case someone is unfamiliar with the show, a short summary. The protagonist dies early in the first episode, and becomes a grim reaper/soul collector. So yeah, i'm looking for an anime (or manga) that explores the "live(s)" of one or more deceased people that collect human souls and "guide" them to the afterlife while struggling to deal with their new situation. Gantz and Bleach are not like what i'm looking for. Thanks in advance. |

Wow, never thought Dead Like Me, one of my favourite western shows ever (for example, I was simply enthralled with the little sis, and I usually am against lolis lol), would be mentioned here of all places.
If you haven't checked it out yet, Shigofumi isn't so much about sending souls to heaven (or hell), but it is about a bunch of reaper-like spirits (who used to be people themselves) sending letters from people who died to people they would like a last word with. The main character, basically being a newbie at this job, is the focus of the story. Dunno if it's what's your looking for, but in all honesty, it's the closest thing I can think of that's most like Dead Like Me. There's really no anime like it in recent memory, AFAIK.
