They've gone down when he resigned in August. They went down a bit more with the iPhone 4Gs. I can't imagine Apple getting its vibrance back.

Dude, I know you dislike Apple but get the name right

Same sentiment, hate Apple and iAnything, but for the man himself and the work/effort he put in to turn his company around, his efforts are inspirational.

Life is short, it's finite, use it wisely, enjoy everyday doing and creating what you love until your dying breath

I'm curious if people are gonna go crazy and mass buy stuff thinking that now he's passed away, no more apple stuff will come out so cue panic xD
(Almost like when a singer dies and then their albums become #1)

While it is indeed unfortunate that Steve Jobs has died, I doubt that his passing away will have much of an effect on the stock of Apple, as not only did he step down a significant interval of time before his death, but Apple also very recently unveiled the newest iPhone (which, if anything, would boost stocks in Apple). Then again, I am admittedly rather ignorant in matters regarding macroeconomics, so I may be completely incorrect in my train of thought here.

I don't think Apple's shares would crash (they might have if Jobs had died while he was still CEO), but the company would probably suffer a slow decline, as it did back when Jobs had left. Steve Jobs was basically the only guy in the company who had ideas and style. Other people can say what they want about arrogance, overpricing, or cult-like consumers, but I respect the man for his accomplishments. It's sad but not unexpected to see him go.

I don't think apple stocks will be affected in the long run. I expect speculators will have a fun ride selling high and buying again when stocks drop.

That's what happens when trial in absentia is not allowed. Otherwise there would be a judicial process to deal with people who hide in foreign countries.

From what relatives in the Philippines told me, Cambodia is the place to grow and export rice.

I am surprised that no one mentioned Thailand, which is the world's biggest exporter of Rice.

Based on here, Thailand is still top by far in term of exportation, then Vietnam 2nd , India, US, China, Pakistan....

Probably not reliable enough to actual quote on for your PhD. But should be more or less correct

Soylent Green. At least there is some use for the dead bodies. *sarcastic*

Seriously, that is some pretty big shit. What happened to "centralised planning"?

It only works when the plan isn't "fuck the people to build a military far larger than your nation can realistically support" and includes contingencies for when things go bad that aren't "threaten to start a conflict to get more international food aid."

'Furious' mess has Justice in full panic

"A trial balloon has reportedly been floated within Justice to essentially eliminate
the ATF by firing 450 agents and transferring the embattled agency’s duties to the
Drug Enforcement Administration and the FBI."

Frankly, I like that notion... ATF has been superfluous for years and I seriously think of it a dumping ground for arrogant incompetency.
