i think a short part of the tsubasa cat arc showed the past too, from what i remember he was attacked by some anomalies and oshino came to save him... i was under the impression they were serving shinobu...

The only ones possibly joking around are Shaft, with their unnecessary delays (unnecessary as in they shouldn't start airing unless they've got a good portion of the series at least near done, or just not biting off more than they can chew); it's not that we find their delays funny, it's that we're still a touch annoyed. (I didn't start watching Bake until way after the thirteenth episode, had to marathon it, and the 15 epi delay still killed me)
