The 4th is Naruto's father (not confirmed, but most likely) and Jiraiya is his grandfather (once again, not confirmed)

At least that's what I think.

I think that the reason that Naruto is still alive is because he is the son of the 4th.

If his father and/or mother was a no name guy he would've been slain already.
By ANBU, Jounins, Chuunins, Villagers....even if the 3rd wanted to protect him..the hatred towards Naruto would've been much greater.

Out of respect of the 4th they hated and dispised him...but didnt touch or physicaly hurt him.

An addition to this:

- They look alike
- The relations Jiraiya -> 4th (student/sensei Kakashi (student/sensei) -> Naruto (student) || Jiraiya -> Naruto (personal student)
- 4th & Naruto both Jiraiya's student and givin the ability to summon Frogs.

Dont think it is coincidence..

And the fact that he carries the Kyuubi with him linked to the 3rd, 4th, Sannin must have a reason. Especially his dream to become hokage aswell. I think their character was the same aswell.

And if i am correct both were talented with jutsu's.

well when Jirya opens the scrolls it shows 2 names jirya uzmaki naruto and uzmaki Arisha and on the first episode it show the 4th hokage on top of gama bunta and then he opens a scroll meaning that the 4th hokage has to be realated somehow.

Hehe, it took 430 chapters before we found out who Luffy's Father/Grandfather is in One Piece.

One can only wonder how long it'll be before we find out about Naruto's.

No not as far as a second cousin but it could be kinda possible that Jiraya is his dad (he is old I know ) and Tsunade is his mom (She probably hit menopause I know

) but I rather want the 4th to be his father than his brother but there is a remote chance that he is his brother.
