Though the game didnt have much for fan service, it did have that bath scene with Makoto (I think thats her name) and the cat piro (I think thats its name). Hoping for that to be animated also.

I'm not saying its something i've been longing to see - but of course, its enjoyable to see that Kyoani are doing more for the fans then just making everything look pretty.

It's actually kinda scary to think that I've watched enough anime to actually get some of the lines w.o subtitle... (I swear, I never took a lesson in Japanese).
My listening comprehension is going up!

Yeah, they are going the distance with this one. The music terms imbedded in the titles were a nice touch too along with the use of flashbacks, choice of music, making all the girls more associated with each other so that they don't drop out after their path is finished and animation imo.

So, do you think that there will be a LE version on sale or is this it? Wouldn't want to preorder a reg edition and then see the LE go on sale?

Wow, those guys weren't kidding when they were referring to their turnaround for Kanon.

Seeing as though nothing has been said, it'll just be the version i posted - though the extra stuff shall only come with the limited release version.

I remember this question being asked while the original series was airing.. and then with Air as well. :3

My opinion still stands that these aren't the type of shows that would do well outside of Japan.

A distributor with loads of cash to spend maybe, if we're lucky. Rumbling Hearts made it over here. I keep hoping for Geneon. They've brought 2 over already (Tsukihime Lunar Legend and Fate/stay night) and number 3 isn't announced yet (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni).

Back to the Kanon DVD...
It's not like in Japan the stores list the regular versions first and then list the LE versions later. All versions for sale list at the same time, right?

Oh well that's too bad. I just finished watching the subbed version. The subbing is good (it was Eclipse after all). Btw, isn't in the original version, Nayuki gave Yuuichi a frog alarm clock? They changed it to a cat.

They keep changing the alarm clock! Toei's frog was different to that of the game version for that matter.

Yep, both versions go on sale at the same time. Thats why i'm telling you that this is the only version thats going to be released.

I would think your money would be better placed (if at all) on Funi. Funi's the only company that seems to have the pockets to afford KyoAni's price (at least, that's what I got out of the FMP!TSR bidding) - guess we'll find out after we see who gets MoSH.

Though I have to agree with Shiroth, if it was going to happen I think it would have happened with AIR. Kyo Ani is notorious for extracting a lot of money in their licensing deals, Rumbling Hearts was probably cheaper. I think there is a populace willing to support this kind of anime outside of Japan, but I think the margin is probably smaller for it. Asking for a ton of money just eats into the profit margin that much more.

I would rather avoid FUNi, no offense. Just thinking of the possibility of those songs being dubbed into English is enough to make me vomit, cry and enter into a rage of anger. Let's not get into script localization issues and FUNi, no offense. If the choice came to between FUNi and buying the R2, I'd buy the R2. This is why I keep hoping for Geneon USA. They have deep pockets too now (allied with Mitsubishi thru one of their companies), along with ADV since their mergers.

The OP? It is the OP of the game, insert song in the Toei version. I was in tears when I saw the KyoAni OP for the first time (considering that I was playing Kanon again...)

For people who have mentioned the frog clock from the Toei version, with have the ginat frog plushie there instead. :3

And from watching this episode again, i can easily say that Yuuichi's "Uguu" has made my day.

Ayu dashes into a convenience store and not a restraurant. The original taiyaki stand was not a trailer and the owner was younger looking. I would rather avoid FUNi, no offense.
