Just installed Empire Total War on my laptop. But it's running very slow and laggy. I tried to lower the settings. I'm running Win7, 4GB RAM and GeForce GT 630M graphics card.

What do you guys think is the problem?

Better to just test then to ask.

Install CPUz, GPUz and open up ye trusty task manager (or the resource manager if you know where to find it), and see where the bottleneck is.

http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/
http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

Are you running out of memory?
Is your CPU at it's limits?
Are you running out of video memory?
Is the thing trying to talk too much with the hdd.

---

I should point out that in some instances you'll see the game not use a lot of anything but still run like crap, in those cases it's because it's terribly optimized or just simply has no way to use some resources fully (video ram is usually up there most of the time).

---

Now my guess for your case, either CPU is not very good, or it's that small amount of ram you have in the system, or a combination of both. Note the CPU dictates everything in the system, including memory moving around, calls to the video card, etc. If it's bad, it can downgrade the performance of everything else in the system by a lot.

For running win7 semi decently while doing some gaming i5, 8gigs of ram or better.

I'm having another problem.

The game suddenly crashes into desktop a few times while in the middle of campaign.

Any fix?

What's the best way to watch/play your laptop on your bed with the least discomfort?

Sitting up (or leaning back with adequate pillow coverage) is what I would go with. Lying down in any position inevitably does very painful things to your elbows.

I remember there is this meme of a Nendoroid Petite Saber from F/SN with the captions : Bring me closer, I want to hit them with my sword.

I scoured google but it is nowhere to be found. Any tips?

That's actually a famous Warhammer 40k thing. (But you obviously know that after googling.)

Otherwise I'm guessing you meant something like this?

Yep that is what I have been looking for (though I already found it yesterday). Thanks.

And another question, who made this figurine?

My laptop is stuttering whenever I play my games there. The audio is cracking and the fps starts to drop drastically. This usually happens when the game starts running smoothly the first couple of minutes.

Any way to fix this?

Okay. Now, even the videos starts stuttering and tearing. I always had to restart the laptop when it happens. And it fixes the problem... somehow.

Any advice on this?

A question that kinda troubled me right now.

Have to start with back when I just moved out of my parents house. Entered college, and lived by myself for the first time. And you already knew what is the first thing that will happen when a teenager move out to live alone without adult supervision....

.... yes, that's right, I bought a 4l neapolitan ice-cream and start to spoon it straight out of the box. After a week passing, and second-third of them gone. What i realized then was: the ice-scream no longer has any taste. And it is not just a moment thing. I won't be able to taste any of the chocolate, strawberry, ice cream flavor for months to come. And it won't until a year later when I realsie that i can taste them again.

Thought it was some silly teenager thing. But recently i bought a box of ~1L of sorbet. And after a fourth of the box gone, same thing started to happen again. So wondering if it's just my brain going extreme , or it's a fairly common thing that can happen with anyone?

Try not eating anything for a day or two and then get back to that cake/ice-cream.
I bet it will taste delicious.

Being hungry really makes stuff taste great.

Why the toilet ghost in Japanese anime always named Hanako?

Is it just a play with the word Hako (which means box) since the toilet cube are regarded as one?

Wouldn't it be because of the urban legend itself?
