See? Even I can make the Laura saving Ichika scene better than the author.

その顔は昔の千冬姉に異常に似ていた pg 221 What kuroishinigami translated was " But, that face abnormally resembled Chifuyu-nee. " The word that was left out was 昔 (mukashi - past), so the translation should be "that face abnormally resembled Chifuyu-nee in the past" Does Chifuyu now looks the same as Chifuyu's then? Does Laura haves a photo of Chifuyu from 8-9 years ago? It is impossible for Laura who was 7 - 8 years old to meet Chifuyu, when IS was in it's early stage

^ Currently busy catching up with what popular nowadays (haganai, Fate/Zero, Monogatari series etc), so I'll probably spend less time with whatever IS related :P, and by the time I finish them , I think they would have been discussed to death
When vol 5 wasn't translated, they are people who mistook Autumn as Chifuyu, and I have no doubts if vol 6 wasn't translated and just by looking at the picture, people would have thought that Madoka was a new character. I don't think I should bring real life 3D examples of how a girl can change into a woman in 8-9 years period In my humble opinion, rather than thinking "I can write better" than the author, people should spend the time connecting the dots, or better, try to read the novels in it's original language. Sure IS can be categorized as B- or C grade novels, and the plot isn't that breath taking (if there is any ), but the plot is greatly depending on Ichika and other characters' monologue, so people should pay more attention to them Also, I also would like to confess my mistake. I translated "Eye" for "Auger"in my summary, but they correct German spelling is "Auge", so sorry , must be my finger :P

I guess IS is not that bad, but it's just that there many much better stories. Personally, I only read the translations of the first few volumes, so I'm not here to judge. It has great potential, but from the spoilers Kuroishinigami gave, I don't feel it's worth my time to get disappointed (unless it improves and ends with a bang somehow ). I was reading HnA recently (just done with v4), but again, from the spoilers from Hikari (aka Icy Tear) on how bad it went later, I don't think I will continue anymore. I rather read a well-written rabukon, well set up with a consistent style, so as to speak. My personal comparison is relative to the LNs I've read, though it can be very subjective and opinionated at times.
The ones you're catching up are not merely popular, they are great reads (I will overall rate them 8 or higher on a scale to 10), IMO. |

After reading the short stories, I can't
believe how much better Cecilia is portrayed here, I came to like her a lot despite not being a Cecilia fan myself, which really says something, weird thing is that these were written by Izuru anyway, so why is the portrayal so much more endearing here?
