Now to get some scale PVCs...
Well, considering that getting the real Nendoroid, the one with blue hair, is extremely expensive now, Snow Miku isn't too much of a money eater. I used the example that the only shop in California I knew of sans eBay that stocks her has her for $70 (I paid $50 for my Snow Miku sans shipping) to convince me to put down the extra $20 to acquire Snow Miku.

That's when I first got her and you can see some marks where her sleeves rubbed on her legs despite the plastic sheets wrapped around both parts.
I think I saw earlier. TOo bad about the rubbing.

It's good that I don't collect nendoroids then XD Another giant money sink. I was just curious about the snow Miku. Only one I kind of want is the super saber, cause she's SUPER poseable. That and the Noel one, which hopefully gets an official release outside of the JP special edition =/

I've patched it up now with some of my old modelling paints and it's barely noticeable unless I look really close. It was hard trying to get the same tone of white to match.

Now, I know I've seen these exact same pictures about a few weeks ago. Did you upload the wrong ones on accident, or did you move again?

In other news,

I finished assembling my case, but now I have to clean all of the glass. It's a monumental task. I did take some preliminary shots, but dirty glass is unappealing, really. D:

Wow, did I already post them already?

If I did, then I apologize, seems like my memory let me down there. You know, when you reach this age, after drinking so much during all these years, it was bound to happen.

I'll edit my previous post then.

And now I have my case, and the bug has firmly bitten, I pre-ordered these;

Remmy http://www.amiami.jp/shop/?set=engli...e_display.html
Sakuya http://www.amiami.jp/shop/?set=engli...e_display.html
Reisen http://www.amiami.jp/shop/?set=engli...e_display.html
And beloved Cirno: http://www.amiami.jp/shop/?set=engli...e_display.html

That's a fairly large chunk of change at current exchange rates... but I think Touhou figures will appreciate well.

How much the value of a figure drops if you open the box but the figure itself is in excellent condition? (Behind glass doors)

Unless your figure is a one-time only release of an iconic character from a classic series, I don't think the re-sell value will be much.

Seriosuly, you collect the sculpture for the love of a character, not for investment and profit.

The way I look at it, is figures appreciate while DVDs depreciate. I've spent many thousands of dollars on DVDs over the years, but now I'm not buying like I used to, that money can go toward figures, which are an actively better collectable (to look at) while also retaining or gaining value over time. Prices I've seen some figures go for are pretty crazy at times.

Depends on the current popularity of the show and character
If you have a good quality figure of an iconic character that everyone wants but it's sold out everywhere (with no re-release in sight), you can sell that for several times of the original price

WonFes... this is only the second one I cared about, since the last one happened right after I got into figures, but... Wow, that's a ton of good stuff. And that's even with me just sticking to Nendoroids and Figmas.

ZOMG, the only thing that comforts me is knowing that not all of them are going to be made into PVCs, cause there's no way my wallet can handle that.

Saber Lily

Got all 4 with $32 (USD, note amount on photo is not in USD). Lovely isn't it, especially that Snow Miku....and they are all genuine!
