Yes. He said it was a huge scenario with nearly all of the characters, and that the subject matter is "cruel as usual" and reminded him of writing Higurashi. He seems pretty pleased with the whole thing too.

If anyone, like me, can't wait before your packages arrive and is downloading stuff out there, let me tell that the trolls this time didn't change the music like in the first game. Now the text is messed with random nonsense added here and there.

Well, I do have a downloaded copy and I did notice some letters in place of certain kanji, but I've only read two chapters thus far, and it only happened at least two times, both roughly close to each other. Because I can't read fluent Japanese, what exactly do you mean by "nonsense"? Unless, of course, I just described exactly what you meant.

Well, I'd say that words like 'stepping on penis' and 'homo' completely out of context are not exactly Ryuukishi's style, not to mention text about ilegal download stuff, 2chan and TB of downloaded stuff etc...

Just to be sure, I checked some japanese boards and people were going LOL there as well (And people with the actual game confirmed it was bogus too)

I don't know whether that person is trying to help Ryukishi 'fighting' against piracy or plainly hate Ryukishi by putting those words into his writing

...the "Tea Party" featured pretty much every character shown in the series thus far, and ended with a photograph of everyone in the series smiling. Yes, everyone. Also, it looked like there was quite a bit more silly stuff than last time.

It's a writing contest by Pixiv to celebrate some Higanbana anniversary. You have to write a short story between 3000 and 10000 characters and send it before February 3rd. You can win prize money and publication on Dragon Magazine. Oh, and your story may get a manga version made by Tsunohazu Ichirou on Dragon Age and be mentioned in the Higanbana regular manga.

So, I managed to get a legit copy, but I still can't understand Japanese that well, and there are plenty of points of confusion for me. Just for the heck of it, I'll start by listing the chapter titles in this installment:

Now, as of today, I've read through three chapters. Here's all I understood:

All in all, this seems to be a more relaxing chapter than a truly serious story, since it's pretty short:

-Marie, Higanbana, and a bunch of other youkai (old and new) gather for an otsukimi, or a moon-viewing, which is a traditional Japanese festival held every year to honor the autumn moon.
-For some reason, Marie and Higanbana are wearing different costumes: Marie is in a schoolgirl's sailor uniform with chains around her wrists and ankles, and Higanbana is wearing a different, red dress.
-As I've said before, a bunch of old youkai return, including the Principal from "The Spirit Camera," the Tea Gentleman from "The Princess's Lie," Sakunoshin from "The Tutelary Spirit's Shrine," and Sumire from "Utopia." Not only that, but the health doctor is there as well. And they're all getting along like old buddies! As I understood it before, the youkai are supposed to be feuding, so seeing them act like this is nothing short of odd for me. Maybe it's because it's a holiday...
-We also get to see a bunch of other new youkai: Izanami, the second ranked youkai, who seems to be at odds with the Tea Gentleman (I'm still very confused on where the TG is supposed to stand in the youkai hierarchy, but when he first appeared, I think he was said to be on par with the strength of the second ranked youkai); Azami, the fourth ranked youkai, who seems to act like a big sister to Sumire and teases her like no tomorrow; and Kyou, the fifth ranked youkai, who has wolf ears and seems to hit it off well with Sakunoshin over his lion ears. There's another named Renoir, the sixth ranked youkai, who is mentioned but doesn't appear.

Spoiler for Chapter 2:

This chapter seems fairly serious and much longer, making it more confusing for me, so you'll be seeing less in-depth notes from me here. Because I could only understand half of what was going on, don't judge the writing solely on my confusion:

-The main character of this story is a girl named Aya Souma. Apparently there's some deal with her, but I can't tell what it could possibly be.
-She hears a rumor of there being thirteen flights of stairs in the school stairwell, but I believe it's also said that there are supposed to be only twelve. Aya decides to go investigate, and she runs into Izanami, who starts chasing her. She apparently gets away, and probably thinks it was some kind of dream.
-For some reason, Aya keeps going back to the stairwell and keeps getting chased by Izanami until it becomes obvious that it's no dream.
-Stuff gets confusing; Aya is at some sort of school track meet when she meets Izanami again. I think he starts chasing her, but then suddenly stops and they suddenly start acting friendly. Also, it appears that Izanami is the school P.E. teacher and was trying to teach Aya some kind of lesson. WTF.

Spoiler for Chapter 3:

Now this one I know is supposed to be silly. It's also the one that has a plot I understand the most, or at least the gist of it; that, and it's fairly short:

-Kyou is a youkai with some kind of control over a mirror world. He needs Marie to clean a mirror that links her usual world to the mirror world, but she has to do it from the other side.
-Typically, Marie finds that not only is the layout of the school mirrored, but the characters she meets have their personalities reversed: Midori, a modest rich girl with a passion for theater, is boastful and a bad actor; the Principal, a dignified and intimidating youkai, is something of a wimp; and Michiru, an occult maniac, just thinks the occult is stupid. And then there's Sakunoshin...well, let's just say, he's the polar opposite of how someone like Sakutaro should be.
-Then we have Higanbana and Sumire, who totally freak out upon seeing Marie. However, the Marie of the mirror world is nowhere to be seen, which can only mean...
-...lo and behold, the Marie of the mirror world is wandering the halls of the not-mirror world, as she somehow managed to escape thanks to the dirty mirror. And she is everything the original Marie is not: abrasive, foul-mouthed, and eager to make everyone she sees her bitch. In fact, her youkai name is not "Mesomeso," but "Geragera" (which is a kind of boisterous laugh), and she's ranked the first among the youkai of her world. Almost unsurprisingly, the first person this Marie meets is Higanbana. And then Higanbana became her bitch.
-Fortunately, Marie returns together with two Kyous (one from her world and one from the mirror world), who somehow return the mirror world Marie to her world.
