All Shounen has Seinen undertones, there are things a boy does to become a man afterall. That's not to say that doing such things automatically makes this in any meaningful shape or form into a Seinen genre manga (unless Kubo decided to become awesome).

You know how we keep learning new ways in why the characters get their powers. First we were told that Orihime and Chad got their powers from Ichigo's overpowering raitsu. Next we were told that it was instead that Hyogoku magic ball thing that gave them powers. Now we are told that these are instead fullbring powers that somehow are due to parents being attacked by hollows when young.

How come Ichigo didn't start developing his fullbring powers on his own like Orihime and Chad did at all? How come he had to be told about them and trained all differently instaed of just unlocking them like they did? WHy did it take until just now to get his fullbring powers?

I hate to defend Kubo, but this one isn't too hard to explain. Chad and Orihime first manifested their powers way back under the stress of fighting against hollows for their lives. Ichigo always had his shinigami powers to draw upon, so he was never "forced" to bring out the fullbring powers in a do-or-die situation.

You know what's really funny about that though? If you substituted the word "troll" for something more appropriate then the dialogue really would read exactly like a Bleach chapter.
