Cromartie High? and ANBU?

Did ANBU stop subbing Cromartie High? I've been waiting out for there release but all I see now is A-M's release. Anybody have any news about this? Should I just start downloading A-M's releases?

I like how A-M puts swears in their subtitles. Even though Japanese doesnt really have any swear words it would be expected that high school deliquents would speak in a rougher manner.

Yeah, I thought it was a little gratuitous at first, but then realized that it was probably a lot more realistic.

I'm not sure if ANBU stopped subbing this, but I think AM is doing a good job. So go for it.

Not only that, but at 100mb per ep it makes a great way to fill out those CDRs (almost) full of badly sized 200meg shows

Yeah I prefer A-M's subs better because the swear words fit in so well.

PocariSweat, try this: http://bttb.sourceforge.net/

It works quite well. I've never had a problem with it, and it easily saves about 30-40MB per CD over the manually matched ones I could make

Last I checked in the staff room, ANBU did not drop Cromartie.

Did both A-M and Anbu drop this series? checked the episode guide and it says 26 epsodes I think so its not over. I also didn't see it in the liscensed forum. Its been quite a while since an episode has been released and they were being released steadily before so I was just curious if this series ended early or whatever?

A-m releases episode 13 a week or so ago in their IRC
channel at mircx. No torrents were releases, in fact I don't think they prioritize on torrent distribution. So get it from the bots.
The series is still running and hope to see episode 14 and 15 soon.

I don't like swearing. At all. Whether they're delinquents or not, I don't like having swear words plastered all over my screen. That said, I still watch the A-M versions, since they're the only group that's doing it any more. I just wish they'd have taken a look at this or this or even this when doing the OP lyrics. *sigh*

I'll say that for delinquent series, I don't mind some swearing in the subs. However, I cannot stand poorly done swearing. Which is exactly what I feel A-M's is. Swear words coming from lines that have nothing remotely approaching vulgarity or crassness. ANBU is the way to go for accurate, well done translations, as far as Cromartie is concerned, even though I don't agree with their job 100% of the time.

When it comes to swearing, I'm all for censorship. It's strange, really. I don't mind hentai, I don't mind gut-splattering violence, but I hate swear words, especially on-screen and especially when there is no call for it, as is the case of A-M, who seemingly go out of their way to sprinkle these words around. Maybe I should just forgo the fansubs and start watching it raw.

P.S. Mechazawa 4 Life!!
