Code Geass - Spoilers & Speculation (old)

Ugh, although this is probably too early to say but I don't like this sudden introduction of a rival character with the power of Geas to boot. With only 25 or 26 episodes to work with, Code Geass only has limited time to flex the plot and I don't see the point of introducing yet another character while having to deal with current ones.

But we shall see.

My guess would be that the secret Shirley discover is Zero = Lulu...

Shirley is NOT the type of girl who stay quiet about stuffs (recall she try to get Kalen to talk about the (misunderstood) kiss with Lulu etc). She would probably try to confront him with his secret.

Mao uses this as an advantage and takes her hostage or something, lol I have a feeling she won't live long after that..

One can only hope she might reminisce the episode with the broken car and draw the conclusion that he's only doing that for the good guys - and therefore let him off the hook. However, the title 'Shirley and the Gunpoint' tells me she'll be in a predicament where she'll have to make a dire choice - OR put Lelouch in a less-than-enviable position, like choosing whether to 'silence' her or get her oath she won't breathe a word about his secret business.

At any rate, I believe she'll shut up by giving him the benefit of doubt - although she'll be less than happy about it. Further speculation from that point has me thinking she might ultimately be tricked (by someone like Viletta) into revealing Lelouch is a member of the Black Knights - or Zero himself.

actually that sounds soo good it can actually work out (tho abit classic imo) ~ seen as viletta is still searching the school she might pay the school a little visit and just "happen" to bump into shirley ~ to which viletta is ableto get information form...wouldnt it also be a shock is lulu somehow manages to get her onto his side

Another thing that came to the fore in my mind lately is about the spoiler that

Lelouch will suffer a bout of radicalism and discard his compassion after a certain event

I thought it was due to the possibility that Nanaly might suffer an injury or die due to a Britannia-related move, but since Pash! seems to have provided short-term spoilers, I think I'll have to rethink my opinion with the newest set of data available.

- The sudden change of mind might concern Cornelia and his deciding to snuff her out instead of taking her in for interrogation.
- It might be due to that Mao guy trying to kill C.C. - maybe he'll have to shed his last scruples and directly put an end to Mao's life in person rather than have the Black Knights do the dirty job for him...especially since Mao is a Geass user and it's not exactly safe to reveal to other people (even allies) that you can 'hypnotize' (term is incorrect/inappropriate but whatever) and coerce them into doing unimaginable things.

Is there any significance to Suzaku, Euphemia, Shirley, and CC standing in front of what appears to be a police mugshot screen (with their height behind it)?

That could mean that Shirley and Euphemia eventually side with Zero?

I'm thinking that it might not go as far as that, they're probably going to be the more prominent characters in the series though Shirley's role is almost nothing so far. Episode 13 is going to change that I suppose.

I'd prefer someone to fully and competently (meaning: NOT Babelfish ) translate it but I've got small snippets out in the light:

- Looks like Shirley asks Lelouch on a date, but Lelouch is at the Mount Fuji mines
- Lelouch meets the representative and WHAT? he removes his mask? Doesn't say whether it's in front of the BKs, though...
- Uh-oh. UH-OH. Shirley's father died in Narita...because of the landslide. O_O I sense trouble.
- Shirley meets Lelouch.
