for villians/antagonists i would have to say:
Phantom from MAR-for being a mastermind and decieving his enemies to get close to them. Char Aznable from Gundam- same reason as Duo presented. Lelouch from Code Geass-he is a brilliant strategest and he knows how to get things done, even at the cost of using someone to get it done for him. Also how he has a plan to get him out of trouble as well. |

So many villians, with soooo many traits and reasons as well some are just simply victoms twisted emotionally.
Its just hard to say since many are unquie in different ways. But first one that comes to mind ---> Singintou from Rozen Maiden (spelling?). She was rather interesting and is a victom to a degree.

Griffith from Berserk
Griffith is the best villain in anime. Without getting into too spoillerific territory just a few of his crimes include raping a girl who loves him (he did this twice if you recall), murdering nearly everyone who was associated with him in the most brutal manner possible, and manipulating the entire planet so that he could become a god reborn. Why does he do all of this? Out of pure ambition, that means more to him than friendship and love. Because of this you share Guts' incredible rage toward him every time you see him on the manga page, just because you know what a bastard he is. The worst thing about him is that he isn't a mustache twirling villain rejoicing in his evil but just a cold bastard who doesn't even care if you hate him. One of the most frustrating things about him is that right now he is winning.

Well only two updates to previous list of Oro and Jianyi Ni : Beatrice (Umineko) : Love her flip flop nature better Psycho and Submissive . Prefer her Psycho side and level of detail in brutality, true sadist . Her charm is trying to be Lady Like and failing miserable interactions with Ronove. Her maniacal laughter is quite addictive : D Ryoko Naruse (Shangri La) : True blue sadist and megalomaniac, loved her personality and character . if it wasn't for Ryoko and Momoko would have dropped this series.

Probably the Seven Sins from Fullmetal Alchemist. They're brilliant. It's such a great concept, having the seven villains of the series take after a sin each. Out of them... I can't pick. My faves are Pride, Wrath and Envy, maybe Greed too.

Ah, one of my favorite topics to discuss. I will list my current top ten villains.
1. Dr. Kazutaka Muraki (Descendants of Darkness): The perfect combination of beauty and creepiness! Massive points in his favor for all the homoerotica he adds to the show. 2. Edmond Dantes aka the Count of Monte Cristo (Gankutsuou): More of an anti-villain, but still a great antagonist. You just have to cheer when he gets his revenge on his scumbag enemies. 3. Kuroudo Akabane aka Dr. Jackal (Get Backers): Such a cheerful and polite psychopath! Snappy dresser too. 4. Shinobu Sensui (Yu Yu Hakusho): Another anti-villain. Very complex character though what with his backstory and his seven personalities. 5. Light Yagami aka Kira (Death Note): More of an anti-hero this time, but so arrogant, intelligent, and manipulative! 6. Orochimaru (Naruto): Such a high creepiness factor! His grotesque abilities are amusing to watch. 7. Naraku (Inuyasha): Simply one of the cruelest villains in anime ever! Having a sexy voice doesn't hurt either. 8. Sousuke Aizen (Bleach): I have only seen the first three seasons, but I love this guy already! Being a genius manipulator makes you awesome in my book! 9. Lucy (Elfen Lied): Anti-villain once again. She sure makes brutally slaughtering people look fun though! 10. Gauron (Full Metal Panic): Seeing Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid bumps this guy up to my top ten. Even being on life support doesn't stop this guy from starting wars and tormenting the our protagonist! Talk about badass! |
