As sky black says the answer is not yet. The announcement should take some time like in example with DxD which took several months after the season 1 is finished(almost a year from the time it finished).

A year would be the expected wait time before a second season and anything less then that would mean some shuffling around of other projects most likely. It could happen due to SAO selling so well, but I wouldn't hold my breath expecting that.

It was always in my mind ever since they introduced New Aincrad into the story, but do you think Kirito has any desire to get Elucidator at some point in the future? Elucidator was a boss on the 50th floor, and I asked Reki Kawahara if Elucidator was still a drop item from that boss, and he confirmed it. Wouldn't Excalibur and Elucidator make a great pair, although that OTP will always be with Dark Repulser ;_;

Well 1 year later it seems they are animating new content. I can't say it's the Jotunheimr quest cuz it could be something anime only since its "underwater" but considering that underneith Alfheim is that place...well...

Brace yourself folks. The discussion on Mother's Rosario is probably going to be one of the ugliest Anime discussion on the Internet this year.

There's a sheer amount of flame bait that Mother's Rosario skirts on. From Homosexuality to HIV, to the concept of Filial piety, and I think the sheer number of SAO haters would mean eventually, someone will harp on these issues to justify their dislike. And it would spiral out of control from there.

Is Mother Rosario confirmed ?

All I saw only hinted at GGO. Obviously GGO cannot last for 25 episodes, but they may make a short season 2 with only 12 episodes with only GGO...

My best hope for the season would be 25 ep though, beginning with "The day after" (but it happens a month before EE, so it probably won't happen :'( ), then "GGO", then "Caliber", then "Mother Rosario" to finish (perhaps even the beginning of the prologue from volume 9 to get some cliffhanger for a season 3...)

I loved Mother's Rosario too. But the haters will find alot of excuses to hate Mother's Rosario, because it trips many political and social hot buttons- and when you take the blind hatred for SAO into account, you get a very toxic combinations.

The mods don't need a Banhammer for this one. They'd need a Banmorningstar.

Personally, I think they'd end with the cliffhanger at the start of Alicization. And the haters would cheer.
