I'm still not a fan of Kurapika new seiyuu

, he doesn't look irritated like he was in the old version. I'm a fan of Yuki Kaida work on him. I love her work with Fuji Syusuke (PoT) too.

The episode was good by the way, and the next will be really good I think.

Still, I prefer the old version. The next episode will be crucial.

Can't wait for next weeks episode it's going to be crucial as far as comparisons to the old series go.

Not much to say except it's been doing exceptionally well in building up to something big. Unfortunately I already spoiled myself ages ago with what happens next but I doubt any of the emotional impact will be lost when I watch the Madhouse version since I'm still watching old version of it repeatedly and finding myself in awe. I find it hard to see how Madhouse can beat that though so I'm both very anxious and full of anticipation for next week. Lets hope they can deliver.

Well, this episode was not as action packed as the previous ones.
Seems like it's a game of tag between Kurapika's team and Uvo's guys.
Gon, Kurapika & Leorio still chasing money for Greed Island game.
Can't wait for that arc to begin!
Looks like their path is going to cross with Kurapika's.

Gon might learn to be able to. Kurapica is far removed from being an enhancer however, so he will have far more trouble in that territory. Not to say it's impossible.

Man, those poor arm wrestlers. They have no clue what they're getting themselves into. If the mafia got slaughtered by the Phantom Troupe, random thugs off the street certainly don't have a chance... It was cruel as hell to extort a few million zenny from them before they left to die.

Even Killua and Gon have no business getting involved with people like that, and at least Killua should know better, but they put down the cash, too.

Those beer cans were comically tiny compared to Uvogin.

That's because the Madhouse anime has a more generic look overall. It doesn't really try to capture the uniqueness of Togashi's art - in fact, it's toned down.

Nippon's character designs are geared more on "realistic" and "bishounen" look, that you obviously prefer, while MH's are cartoony, weird and jarring. This is intentionally done - inline with Togashi's art - to create a fantastic world were very different characters (physically and internally) interact in a seemingly normal way.

Remember Mr. Beans (Netero's secretary) and how jarring it was to see a physically short, bald man, whose head looked like a bean and has green-colored skin, talking to our cartoony "normally-drawn" protagonists? How about a realistically drawn Johness being killed by a cute boy in Killua?

Even the PT members have varied character designs - the realistic, the cartoony/cute, the weird.

I really liked the scene with the panning and selective cropping. Kurapika’s was not seen when he made the next appointment in Madhouse’s adaptation Dalzollene’s dead body did not appear in Madhouse’s adaptation A filler scene in Nippon’s adaptation between the Spiders and we see for the first time the spider coin used to solve disputes between the members according to the rules. These eyes…..!! It’s a miracle he didn’t get furious on her considering his anger issues from the previous episodes…!! Once again, Linsen does not talk at all in both adaptations despite talking in the manga. Squalla’s thoughts on babysitting Neon was not in Madhouse’s adaptation Kurapika talks with Nostrade in privacy in Nippon’s adaptation instead of staying in Neon’s room. Here we see Nostrade for the first time in the manga and Nippon’s adaptation. He showed up previously in episode 41 of Madhouse’s adaptation The beginning of Kurapika looking up the info was not seen in Madhouse’s adaptation Dead man #1 We see here the hunters website is the same as the one Gon and Killua used in the past, but Uvo and Shal did not go in it like the last time. We also see Franklin with them bringing the beer since it was his assighnment THE MANLY KISS!! It was a brief comedic moment in the manga and Madhouses’, but Nippon’s…. they went a bit beyond….. excuse me while I vomit…!! Uvo on the Moon I’m running out of dirty jokes…! A Togashi desktop in Nippon’s adaptation That’s MY question…! Both adaptation’s did not show Squalla’s epic reaction as it was in the manga. A “secret message” between Kurapika and Senritsu in Nippon’s adaptation Spoiler for Part 2: Dead man #2 Dead man #3. Madhouse kept the place, but Nippon kept the finisher. Now back to the trio. This scene got extended a bit in Nippon’s adaptation Correction: He was raised by fox bears. Both adaptations did not show Leoreo’s thoughts on the plan. (Right): “This kind of auction arose from illegitimate means to begin with.” – (Left): There’s bound to be a betting pool in the sidelines, gambling on the outcome.” Then….. The worst scene in the episode…. Like they say: “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me thrice… shame on both of us.” First was opening the gate, second was the hurdling, and now this! Why does Madhouse keep altering Leoreo’s spotlight scenes?! Do they have a personal issue with him or something?! Luckily Nippon have kept the scene unaltered, but my nitpick is the slam was a still image instead of an animated moment. I always thought this was a dude and not a beefed up woman, and I was right…! Gon is still weak in math in Nippon’s adaptation The Spiders’ pamphlet. More dialogue between the boys in Nippon’s adaptation. In Madhouse’s adaptation, Killua hears about the attack on the auction. In Nippon’s adaptation, it was Gon who wanted to start looking instead of Leoreo. Plus they made him more oblivious on the situation. In Nippon's adaptation we see Kurapika is using the Guiding Ring Finger to sense Uvo's arrival. Uvo’s face when he reached Kurapika looked nothing like the manga. Hmmm….. Yay! Unfortunately, this episode was worse than the expectations, especially after the superb performance of the previous episodes. But the changes we’ve seen made it bad and I hope they make it up with the upcoming episodes. 7.5/10
