Haruhi: I can't forgive them!
Kyon: Forgive who?
Episode 3, right before they raided the computer club.

Where exactly is that line from? IIRC the equivalent line in Japanese is "Yurusenai", which means simply "unforgivable", with no reference to whether it be you/he/she/it/them being unforgiven.

"Emblem? Looks like a grumbling, drunken tapeworm to me."

^see this is an unfair comparison Kyon! you cant possibly have seen one of those before.

my favorite quote: (entire back and forth between Kyon and Shamisen)

Shamisen: "it is true i may be making sounds which appear to be human speech to you. but assuming that, how are you certain that i'm making these sounds with the meaning you think they imply?"

Kyon: "thats obvious, you're answering my questions after all."

Shamisen: "it could just be that the sounds i'm making coincidentally match the answers to your questions."

Kyon: "if you accept that logic, then even the validity of human conversation comes into question."

etc...

he is one philosophical cat, totally awesome. He is my favorite character second only to Yuki and tied with Asakura

It's a quote directly preceding the Great Computer Research Society Heist of 2006.

Spoiler for Melancholy II, 04:14:

Haruhi: We're living in the information age and yet we don't have a single computer... I can't forgive them!
Kyon: Can't forgive who?
Haruhi: Then let's go scrounge one up.
Kyon: Hey hey, do you actually have any leads? Are you planning on raiding an electronics store?
Haruhi: Of course not. There's one much closer. (closeup of Computer Research Society sign)

considering the context it may also be appropriate to translate it as "unbelievable!" <in an angry, not bewildered, tone

The subtitles clearly said "I can't forgive them!"
What would Kyon's response be if her words were "unforgivable"?

"Very well. I understand that he - no, in this scene it's me, so 'I'"

Oh, Haruhi. It's totally okay to reshoot scenes were the actors screw up their lines.
