Which group are you guys getting FMA from?

I'm just curious to hear opinions as to who has the best quality and translations. I started out getting it from AF, but they put their subtitles a little low on the screen, so when I encode it to VCD its kinda hard to read, so went with Anime Keep.

I find Keep & Anbu to be the best, so I use them as well.

I usually stick to the group who does the first episode I download of a series.

In this case, it's Keep & ANBU.

I have nothing against Anbu/Keep. I like the scrolling 'subtitles' in the opening credits, and the font is nice and big.

However I just like AF-F 's choice of fonts and colours. I wait patiently for weeks at a time for their releases (they're two eps behind of Anbu/Keep, so I'm expecting to have to download two episodes suddenly. It's all good).

Well, if you liked AF-F's version, you should stick with Sonchou now, 'cause those were the ones who fanubbed Fullmetal Alchemist for AF-F.

The series hasn’t been dropped, just the project team has departed to their own group. All current torrents will be supported by me and other staff members but any further releases will not be supported. Welcome #Sonchou-Fansubs to the scene and give them the same support as when they were under Animeforever.
Me downloads the A-Keep & ANBU version, even though I don't like their font that much. I don't want to insult anyone, it is readable.
I'm sticking with their version, because I like their translation more than the AF-F/ Sonchou one.

Thanks for the feedback, ill pass the word about the font to the staff for you guys. However keep in mind, i do believe the reason we use such a simple font is so its easy to read.

ANBU + A-Keep

although I always download a varity tward the begining of a series to find out which I like best. but the last 10 or so episodes are all the above mentioned. As for fonts, personaly I have never much given a dam what font a group uses as long as it is simple to read. More important is coloration, so it can be seeen, and it helps if they either

a) color each persons subs differntly (aka winry blue, al yellow)
b) color people speaking from off "camera" differently.

That makes it alot easier to find out who is talking and from where when you have more than one person talking at once. When only one character is talking it is no big deal as even though you do not know the language you can usualy identify voices. Yet when thier are two people talking, you may know both voices, but who said what exactly comes into play. some times it is obvious, other times the only way to tell it apart is the sub titleing colors.

I d/led the first 5 eps from both group and I just found that A-f to be better. So I have been d/ling A-f until the breakup. Now I had d/led 19-21 from anbu but deleted 19-21. I guess, I decided, even tho Sonchou is not part of A-F, I will support them. Also, I like their subbing better and everythign else better.

Sonchou is the people who used to work on Fullmetal Alchemist for AF-F. The group's name has changed, but that is the only thing that has changed.

I am absolutely downloading from Sonchou now.
