I think this might have been explained in the start of Volume 7 Chapter 2 Part 6. Can't post any more here due to the NO SPOILERS policy

I don't think I need to read any specific spoiler to figure out that they might grab their new gears DURING season and not at the start ??

I do share same opinion with many people here. Let's give DEEN a chance. If it's merely an animation department it's not much of a risk. Animation is always LH weakest link anyway.

The team still have the same script writer and director. Only thing DEEN will give will be slightly prettier graphics. Which is something Log Horizon wouldn't mind.

Tbh, I'm not too happy with Naotsugu's new look in the character's page. Imho his eyes are too big for his irises and that makes him look mean instead of the Great Onii-san that he is.

I don't think it's a spoiler since it's supposedly anime exclusive filler so even LN readers can only speculate. Still, I'm going to put the spoiler tag since it concerns predicting possible future anime only content.

Volume 8 is definitely getting animated. And that said, sorry Esta, the OP is still going to be laden with spoilers, because that's how I found out :P

Thank DQueenie. ED song sounds wonderful and wow spoiler minefield alert, but that's fine with me.

At this rate it will take at least five years for s3 anime.

It's so... bad compared to 1 season opening.

So, let's sum this:
New studio - Deen.
New chara designs - worse that original
No new song in opening - What? So low budget?
Weak opening - Well, it's Deen.
Anime starting with filler(?) - Why...?
I'm really, really worried about second season quality.

First half-ish of the first episode is probably filler, just to explain that several groups are leaving Akiba and whatnot, including Shiroe. Volume 6 didn't really mention it; also, the anime's taking this season in chronological order (some events in v7 occur before v6 before becoming concurrent and after it).

Maryelle and William's hair looks weird, but I think they were attempting to recreate hara's style of wavy hair. They just took it too far.

I actually liked the OP, except for the titanic amounts of spoilers.
