FFIX (9) is the one where everyone is like a kid n the main character has a tail. FFXI (11) is the only online game in the series. and yes, RMT is a huge problem in FFXI.

I heard the full version of Puzzle ~ Extra Hot Mix, and I definitely liked it more than the original - the use of guitars produced a sound more aural and pleasing to me than the brass. That doesn't mean the brassy version sucked - it was extremely well-made.

The game that Satou starts to play in episode 15 is based on Final Fantasy IX, it was mentioned in the manga. (& yes, i used to play the game myself. :3)

Jeez, I can't help but feel pity for Satou's situation. I mean for a while there I thought there was a glimpse of the right direction but this "Ultimate Fantasy" thing is driving him further down. I wonder if that catgirl will turn out to be another guy or something messed up like that.

The first version of the OP (with trumpet) version was okay, but I thought the trumpets sounded a bit too synthetic......

At least Satou's having fun, and at the end of the day thats what i believe matters the most... well, even more so after thinking about what he went through juring the Offline-meeting & with Kashiwa-senpai.

My bad. I ment to type FFXI. I was more than half way through FFIX and then my PS2 fell and scratched the disc. I've since got a replacement copy but haven't been able to play it again for some reason. But what's the RMT problem in FFXI?Details? Also, how close is episode 15 to the actual game?

Episode 15 is not only the best episode in this series, but its truth. MMORPGs will ruin your life. My two friends started playing ff11 and I never seen them since.

okay, ill go into detail about this

RMT = real money trade meaning you exchange ingame currency for real life cash.

there are several ways to make money in FFXI. one being camping monsters that have rare drop rate items. one is by crafting.

basically, theres these select individuals (most of them chinese) that camp these monsters over and over and just ruin the economy. what they do is, collect the most currency they can and prevent other people from gaining rare/valuable items the right way. they take those items and sell it thru the auction house. because of these RMTers, earning currency is difficult so people resolve to buying currency online with cash rather than farming for it. so the people who play fair are hurt dramatically and everything in the game is out of proportion.

its not just FFXI however, every MMORPG suffers from these RMTs who ruin the economy. its against ToS to do so but they are difficult to catch and there are over 100s of them per server and they are online 24/7 except for chinese holidays. im not trying to stereotype because there are RMTs from other countries but in FFXI, the vast majority are chinese.

If you weren't going to stereotype why even mention they are Chinese at all.

I really didn't like this episode; but that's not NHK's fault. I pretty much hate all anime/specific episodes that feature a sequence within a MMO. Add to the fact that the artwork and animation was downright atrocious too. Hoping for something better for episode 16.

*shock* hes even neglecting misaki! it is true that when you really get into an mmorpg you become kinda unsocialised because tbh the game itself is a community...just not with someone you really know...
but oh cmon...its just a totally false portrail of how someone would look playing an mmorpg...satou looked soo pathetic at the end IRL its impossible >.< hes completely hooked on the game...but its showed in a very extreme way...

Epsiode 15 was very well done i love what they created the MMPOG world of Final Fantasy IX im pretty sure that what the game was. Poor Satou yeah its great if you could earn money with the item you find in the game but if you suck ya gets nothin. Watching him die over and over really amused me it was just like his life at the moment one depressing moment after another, i guess after what happen with the off line meeting Satou is even more depressed which i dont blame him for. I mean everyone but him got something positive out of the events on the island. Misaki was kind of played down this time since it was mainly about how Satou has a new addiction now. She really thought he was making progress so when she walked in on him in his room thinking he was dead its was just that much worse. By the way the smell in that apartment must have been sooooooooooooooooooo bad. The phone converstaion with Satous mom was fucked up especially what he said just because his dad lost his job that was no reason to cut his living expenses. The series contines leaving me wanting more we approaching one of my favorite arcs in the story (that if they dont take it out) and im patiently awaiting the reaturn of Kashiwa-Senpai

This episode didn't pique my interest or evoke emotion from me as much as great episodes like ep5 and ep13 did, but I can understand that this was a build-up episode for things that will happen in ep16. I found this episode quite underwhelming, but I guess that's simply personal choice.

Seeing Satou act like that when his allowance was halved was pathetic. It showed his weakness as a person and his unwillingness to break free from the bondage he entrenched himself in. Misaki's act was toned down this episode - but it also showed how important she thought Satou was in her life.

Having read c29 of the manga and the summaries of succeeding chapters I really wonder how they will end this series. A deviation from the manga has already been noted; again, I am still hoping for an ending that isn't tragic - there's too much already in this series, and it would be bathetic and exaggerated will there be even more.

The short scene with Yamazaki simply proves that he's really a true friend to Satou

These things that he does to try to help Satou in his own subtle way really makes him among the sanest characters of this zany cast. Were it not for Mia, how would have Satou improved in his quest to better himself for RMT?

Like i've said before, the anime is going to have to bring up a new ending all together now. We're past episode half way now, and they're only upto the mmorpg part of the story. Of course i've loved the extra atention given to all of the series (Offline-Meeting anyone?). They'll at least carry on until around episode 21, and then bring in some new material to end it, thats how i see it now.

As you seen, he was on the path of leveling up. Of course with the help of Mia he was able to level up much faster, though i believe good old Satou would have found a way - or another partner for that matter.

You seem to have forgotten what Satou was: a hikkikomori. Unless people approached him he would, in no way, approach them.

There is actually no way i could ever forget just what Satou is. Look how he met Mia - who's saying that couldn't have happened with anyone from the game?

Only 'Mia' would have had guts to shout like that at a place where Satou was. I won't say it's impossible, but it would be highly improbable. Aside from that, the game is a really 'large' area, so obtaining potential partners through that would highly be a matter of chance. Other than 'Mia,' I don't think anyone would have stuck with Satou as long as that. Parties are often made haphazardly; they are impermanent most of the time: after they've defeated the boss, they will disband after distributing the loot amongst themselves.

Heh, it makes it much easier when we know just who Mia is. :3

Its true that Satou wouldn't have gotten anywhere without Mia's help.. but then again, this is Satou's plan instead of getting a job, i'm sure he would have at least gotten somewhere with it. Maybe making enough money just to send to his parents for this first month, and some extra for himself to purchase the game, to carry on making money.

Hmm, good plan - its one i might give a try at. :3
