just one thing that's been bothering me about some of them (well, like 2):

One is that you use the UT2k3 backgrounds. It's a cool idea and everything, but your coloring style is really bright and cartoony, while the background is much darker and realistic.

Another is that some of the picture (mostly the old ones I guess) seem especially bright, while the shadows seem so dark. It's as if a really strong light were on them, but the background doesn't suggest the same lighting. Try to keep the contrast between light and dark a little lower, so that the light doesn't seem so intense.

Other than that, you're going great. I'm still seeing improvement, so there's no telling how good you'll be in a few month's time.

I once started using the cartoon structure and the UT backgrounds, It's like a trademark. It always worked for cartoons, and I always did so, but I started to draw anime, which is a whole new world of art, and my art style doesn't seem to belong here. I'll have to try different styles until you guys actually like it.

It's about the majority, on my old forum where I went this style is what they liked.
I'll have to change now.

The strong shade is indeed incompatible with the background. I'll have to keep the strength of the light down then..

i think that if you got the color and shading to match closer to the background, then it would look absolutely beautiful.

I see what you mean. It would look a lot more realistic if I use thinner lines and make them greyish instead of black.
and the colors must match the background.

There is where I get into trouble. I'll have to try something.

Maybe this weekend I'll have time to do something.

You discovered why Gunslinger Girl is so popular!

I call dibs on drawing Osaka with a samurai sword
