Macross Frontier - Episode 11 Discussion / Poll

Going by all their conversations so far in this series it's quite fitting that Ranka's present is a ticket to her concert since she never asks Alto anything and just talks about herself all the time. Sheryl otoh gives Alto a chance to fly in a real sky something she knows he would love because in their conversations she actually asks him questions about himself (gasp the audacity!) instead of telling Alto all about herself.

12 looks pretty awesome, I didn't expect to see some really nice looking action scenes after reading the initial synopsis for it. More Sheryl and Alto goodness coming up.

Kawamori seems to always put his lead characters at a disadvantage in his stories. I remember Van from Escaflowne never even got to kiss Hitomi (compared to the other one) even if he was the main male lead.

So if Grace is with Sheryl, then that means there's also something special within Sheryl since Grace wouldn't hang out with her for no reason.

The chances of Sheryl just being a normal person seem to be getting slimmer and slimmer but Grace could be with her since Sheryl provides very easy access to numerous fleets and planets. Considering she's her manager I assume she makes the bookings of where to go.

As for Escaflowne...

There was never really any doubt that Hitomi would end up... uh no that's not right... uh.. choose Van over Allen. Personally I never even considered Allen to be a "threat"... and that plot device to make Allen kiss Hitomi was retarded, clearly the worst thing in Escaflowne (which was my fav anime until RahXephon aired) even though it got the right reaction from me in feeling sorry for Van-Sama! I still smh at how stupid that was...

Well you can see the matter under a different POV: as she's a bad woman she will have to get punished of course. What kind of punishment does she deserve? Death? No it would be a waste for such a babe so I would punish her in other adult ways...

I must say, it's rather annoying seeing Sheryl fanboys on the blogs starting up rants on "Yay, Sheryl wins Ranka loses!" and "Go Sheryl, die Ranka!" We're not even halfway through the series yet. There's tons of time for all kinds of $hit to fly, and the triangle could still go either way. Sheesh.

Anyways, I gotta admit that I wouldn't mind Kamjin coming back from the grave after 20 years. (our time) For me, he added a nice "OH SHI-" touch to the battles in Macross.

Exedore's head looks like a giant tumor. He was like this in Macross7 too.
Zentradi men are green and some wear err... jewel eye patches. They're probably high tech visors

It's interesting to see Klan's ironic mindset, though.

From a normal Zentradi perspective it's her that that would be considered the scum since she's tainted by human cultural hegemony.

Not to mention he was a little obssesed with his frequent sparring partner Hikaru.

By sparring I mean shooting bullets, missles and plasma beams at each other not the sparring Quamzin had with Lap Lapiz.

Well that would be because Sheryl's fan base on English forums is much larger than Ranka's And that doesn't change the fact that Ranka fan boys are just as annoying especially around 5-6 when you would think that Alto and Ranka were married the way they were bitching and moaning.

They better have an explanation why they allow Quamzin back (or is he back at all). After one sabotage attempt, and two invasions, I'd think its enough to friggin put him on a death sentence.

You couldn't be more wrong, OD.
An active woman trying to know someone she's interested in by spending time with that person, having conversations etc is not a dependent woman

As for that claim about Sheryl fans at Random Curiosity, I just checked and the first shippy comment was posted by a Ranka fan, so blame him for the snowball effect (plus, bitching about it won't change anything)
