I like how they didn't even bother mincing words with the "caution tape" scene. Typically, it's a sort of unspoken way of saying "buy the DVDs", but in this show they flat out solicit the DVDs right on the caution tape. Subtle, they are not... but that's definitely part of the humour...

Ep2 is quite your normal dish of shouren manga, shaked well with butler favor.

Ren tries to avoid getting canned on his 7 days trial period, the 6 day did included some new characters, with the last day "riding his horse too much": aka broke a freaking expensive vase, and narrowly escaped death.

Lucky, Shinra sama do like watching other troubled face. Or we can't go on to the flag arc next episode.

Tanaka Rie used Koyumi[Azumange Daioh plus the violent tsukomi part] voice as Kugi Ageha.
Her slave Kojyuro is basic a sandbag.
An do-M(Extreme M, you know what M means, don't u?) character also appears as Yumi's friend named Anatasha Mystina or something like that.
Another Yume's friend Inamura Keikois your usual Tomboy.

Well, they didn't lose any time. Nearly all characters including side-characters are already introduced.

...aaand, as expected, the Shinra path has been locked in.

What surprises me is the level of... well... sexual aggressiveness displayed, which even exceeds the original H-game so far (!). The Shinra-Benisu bathing scene is certainly in-character, but still... it makes me wonder where the anime will stop ^_^;

Tanaka Rie is spot-on for Ageha, as expected. And someone please remove M from the anime, that would make me an even happier camper.

Anyway, it's as expected, and best to be enjoyed in "James Bond movie" mode. Turn off your brain and enjoy the visuals

The comedy was still good, but the ending drama wasn't very impressive. Mostly because it's obvious he won't get fired.
Strange characters as usual, but it's not very impressive.

I enjoyed the most the moments between Ren and Natose. I loved the gleam in Ren's eye when she was petting him. "Natose-san must be the type that always wanted a younger borther" LOL

Benisu and Shinra bath scene was AWESOME!

T rie never fails to amaze me...seriously, I couldn't recognise her voice at all A big well done for showing how talented she is Ageha is just an awesome hot blooded character - a lot more gar than what I expected, cute too with her way of showing thanks, sweets haha
Shame I can't say the same for "M" though...she freaks me out.

A pretty good ep, though it lacked the impact of ep one. Maybe this won't end up to be as crazy as hayate afterall - but it is definitely still enjoyable

Shinra and Benisu's bath scene is what stook to me the most. Oh my god I have a nose bleed Possibly one of the hottest scene I've seen in a while. It's stangely evil yet seductive at the same time, I know that Shinra doesn't know shame...but that is scary

Another fav scene was how she sexually harassed miyu...going as far as holding onto her wrists as to force her down...ahh I think I've seen this somewhere XD Hato nee comes as a saving grace which was pretty amusing.

Ren is one lucky yaro! All the girls in the mansion have no shame

Though that might be a good thing...but maybe not for his blood. The naked miyu scene was a huge weakness to me - loli + twin tails + zettai ryouiki shiii O.o
But it seems like ren is pretty much immune to anything "ecchi"...he is too use to being in his sister's chest

I know exactly what you mean. Rie was incredibly good with that role (I also didn't recognize her aswell). I also enjoyed hearing Nobuyuki Hiyama (Ageha's butler) his crazy voice fits into this series well.

Like I said before, for better or for worse this show has a lot of the typical otaku ingredients.

Sibling complexes (older sis, younger brother and sister), ojousama, yuri or bisexuality, maids/butlers, tsundere, loli, M/S personalities, whatever, etc... It's practically all there. Heck, you can probably include "it's a trap" in there too.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone in the staff actually made a checklist for this.

Now I admit I haven't been watching anime for long, but what's with the incest thing? It's pretty common, and they play it off like it's not extremely weird. I'll never understand it. They call it "brother complex" but my understanding a brother complex meant you hated your brother because you were jealous. However, they use it in anime and manga to mean you are extremely protective of him. Magikano was the first harem-type comedy I ever watched, and I spent the whole time trying to figure out the relationship with his sisters. Of course, I soon found out that it is a staple of almost every romantic comedy, sometimes replaced with a cousin.

So, can someone explain to me what exactly a "brother complex" is? I'm sure it's more complicated than "lolz, loves her brother."

In Japan Having a Complex has always been considered having feelings for a person that you shouldn't have those feelings for. The different complexes are offpring of the Original complexes in pyschology. Oedipal Complex (mother complex) and Electra complex(father complex). The other complexes are just subbranches of those two. SisCon, and Brocon. So basicaly brother complex is unatural affection for a brother that can lead to incest but doesn't necessarily has to.

The brother complex you are talking about is also called Cain complex and it is what you probably can find on dictionaries.

Here is where you can read a little more about brother complex and a series that was released in the USA which is the first widely released series about incest. It was released by the now defunt Geneon

I don't see incest as a big deal in anime anymore. To me it is just like any old relationship now asides from the usual childhood friend, love at first sight, fated attraction, bla bla ~ What I don't get is how people can look at a relationship and go "eww incest" *puts a big red cross across it*. The thing about hato and ren is that their relationship isn't actually incest but rather pure sibling love ~ sweet :3

As far as we know! just kidding! But really, only in anime you see those things. Heck, for all we know they have orgies in the Shinra household everynight.

Some people have problems with some things. I HATE raping, or woman forced into becoming sex slaves. I have gotten to a point where I have a hard time watching or reading any hentai with those themes and when I read one I just keep going to see if the women get their vengeance on the guy.

I hope this is not offtopic but they have animated a lot of things from the CGs from the game in the anime and they are doing a good job with the character designs.

Spoiler for some little facts from the game -- CONTAINS FUTURE GAME EVENT SPOILERS:

Ren can get with ALL the female in the household, he doesn't get with any of yume's friend, there is a CG where he gets kissed by the girl with the mark on the forehead but she get threatened by Mihato.

So yes there is INCEST in this game, so the brother-sister complex tones are valid.

IT seems that in the Mihato path, Ren, Mihato and their father get back together bacause there is an older guy that is the vivid image of ren much older having lunch with them in the park.

Shinra is in a wedding dress in one of the CGs so I guess she marries Ren.

Notose and Ren seem to leave together in their path.
