I don't remember what it was confirmed in, but it did say how it survived: each GN-Drive produces a localized GN-Field around itself. Doesn't make much sense considering the function of the GN-Sword (Anti GN-Field Weapon), but since its Word of God... *shrugs*

However, I'm happy that both of the GN-Drives survived. When the show ended, I was sure that this would be the outcome, but still, it's good that it was confirmed.

So the GN-drives are virtually indesructible?

Regarding the GN drives internal shield/field it makes sense the GN drive is the core and creating them is a great hardship so it stands to reason that they be the most protected part of the gundam everything else including the pilot is expendable
I'm hoping for setsuna to be piloting an upgraded ExiaR2 with the O raiser thruster wings. I doubt the 00 rasier will make a return the unit was just too powerful against regular enemies. plus the movie jupiter image clearly showed 5 individual GN particle emissions so either a new GN drive was created or they never re-twined the Exia/O gundam drives. |
