Most of the lineart in the past looks really bad/awkward. I remember that ugly as sin Build Strike, and how much awesome it look in motion in 1st episode. The same thing happened back then with Gundam 00 1st season.

Also, the fan art of non-SD Winning Gundam. I don't hate the SD one, though, and I also like the look of the girl. Hopefully she is worth something for once.

i've been trying to figure out what gundam the lightning gundam is a variant of and the best i could come up with is the justice and thats a big stretch, and that's is only because its back unit looks similar to the justices without the giant wings attached to the sides

That’s...odd because you said you remember a “Gundam with circle thing and a cannon” and Tallgeese is certainly not a Gundam. And Tallgeese’s shield doesn't look similar to Winning Gundam’s shield-thingy. *shrugs*

Build Burning Gundam

well, they were in high school last, so they might be way beyond it (seven year difference). I would guess just starting a family/jobs (well they both currently have some jobs already). ALso should be interesting.

Its not Impulse based. And if it is, its modified beyond recognition

If anything, the Build Burning Gundam is a design unique to Build Fighters, unlike the other mobile suits we've seen, which were all derived from other machines.

That said, it does bear a bit of an Impulse Gundam influence. Which might be deliberate, given that the Build Strike was based off of the Strike Gundam, and this, like Destiny, is a sequel to a preexisting story.

I also think that BB Gundam is an original design (with color-scheme similar to Rising Gundam). Sure, you can see traces of other Gundams in it if you stretch it, but I think it’s pretty much unique for this series, just like Beginning Gundam. Tbh, I like BB’s design a lot more than BS. I don’t know how to say it, but BS looks more like a slap-together Gundam while BB is the more realized design. Yes yes, I know BS is supposed to be a Gunpla custom/kitbash by a highschooler in-story and the design serves the purpose, but still, I‘m not a fan of it.

I think it would've been better if we could at least recognize a base. That was what made the first build fighter models cool for me.
