Nami, because she's simply the best.
I mean, without her the crew would fall apart and they wouldn't know where to sail.
She's a very active member though her fighting skills are weak.
I think she's holding the boys together somehow.

2.Zoro (he's just awesome, strong without devil fruit, has green hair and three swords. his promise to Kuina is kind of cute.)
3.Robin (well, she's beautiful and intelligent and seems to understand and know everything but mostly keeps her mouth shut and just giggles.)
4.Usopp (he is the most human character. I really like to see him overcoming his cowardice and fight for the sake of his friends. He's perceptive just like Nami.)
5.Franky (I don't know why I like him. It must be his perversity. xD)
6.Sanji (He's ok. I don't see any reason not to like him, but he's sometimes really boring. Oda's countless tries to make fun out of him are more annoying than entertaining.)
7.Luffy (It's really hard for me to judge him. I like his attitude but the character is not that appealing. I liked the flashback showing more about him, but I didn't manage to love him like many others do. I guess Oda just shows too little about his thoughts and emotions.)
8.Chopper (He's cute. That's all.)
9.Brook (The last one joining and pretty much everything I saw about him was not that positive. His stupid skull jokes are more annoying than Sanji's lovey-dovey behaviour.)

Zoro by a long shott because he's just such a badass haha. Probably the most badass character in like any manga/anime that i've watched/read. When people like underestimate him and they have no idea what they're in for and he just like kills them allllll in a blink of an eye. No mercy just done!

He has other moments too that round him out to like show his soft side and his personality besides when he fights.

He probably has had the most epic fights in the entire series and some of the most epic moments. Like when he throws away his life and his dreams for Luffy when Kuma goes to capture Luffy.

I generally try to like all the characters, but if i had to choose...

Ace: Fire powers, general nice guy, but not without his quirks (falling asleep during a meal :P). The Whitebeard war fleshed out his character even more, which was a plus.

Luffy: The main character....yeah he's awesome. Starts off annoying, but gradually grows into a confident guy with hidden depths.

I have seen the first 91 episodes so far and my favorite characters are all of them! But If I had too just choose 2 it would be Chopper and Ussop.

I think I will love Robin and Brooke when I see more episodes...I cant wait until they dub season 4!!!

I like every character but if i had to pick my best

luffy - badass and funny
zoro - badass and badass
akainu and ace - mostly fir the df powers

but id have to say my fave non straw hat to date that we have seen ( shanks and dragon have not shown much so i cant judge them much)

I actually like usopp , I am in episode 297 but I think even though he has shown he can handle fighting with his tools but when it does come when he has to fight he just kind of cowards and throws in 1 star or 2. Apart from that the stars don't do anything. The baddie and he starts to coward again which annoys me because I want him o kick ass, my second favourite though is Chopper, he is defiantly extremely cool.

My favorite character is zoro because he's such a badass. I also like his fighting style and the fact that he's insanely strong without devil fruit. Besides I've always seen him as the second strongest member of the crew and luffy's first mate like rayleigh was to roger.

But Next to hime I really really like trafalgar law too. He's charismatic and has a unique style, like, modern, closer to the real world. He's tatoos give him badass look too. His ope ope no mi is just one crazy ass power I really love. If I were in one piece that would be my fighting style I think. I also reaaaally like his jolly roger. I have in my room on some clothes and drawn on my lessons haha. So after Zoro he's definitely the greatest one piece character to me.
