Mafuyu topped today's group, followed by Yuno, Miyako, Ritsu and Minatsu.

I have to say there is, but its nature, constituents, and behavior is different. The biggest difference is the Best Moe being partial to Tsunderes and ( anime series or characters ) that receives support from female viewers. In other word, it is hard to get into top 16 without some female support, while in Saimoe, female support won't make much of difference other than perhaps in the final 4, when every single vote becomes important.

Best Moe did have problems with Fan clubs with mostly female members, but again, if you check who made it to top 16, it always was characters that enjoyed very broad and diverse support. Chikaru was the only reason why I endured the entire Strawberry Panic series, and I would also vote for her over 99+ % of the contestants. ( wait, there is 2000+ contestants initially... )

So in the end, Mafuyu managed to clinch the top spot, as predicted. Not that I mind. Yuno and Miyako still doing well is a pleasant surprise, but Kisaragi dropping out was a disappointment. It can't be helped, as this group was very competitive. I ended up 10 of 12 in predictions as Kisaragi dropped out in a nailbiter, but it was against Kagura so I guess that's an okay consolation. As for picks 6-3-1 - worst performance yet, but that was expected. Ichinose Nagi, you will be missed ;_;

Today is a rather underwhelming group. I expect Ui to top, but I hope to see signs of life from Color Wars.
