If they did make black Lagoon i probably would see it but my expectations would probably be at a all time low. Probably because they wouldn't be able to adapt a part of the anime into a film but rather have to make something totally new like a side story or something.
The thing is, this isn't heavy on Japanese culture and it does not take place in Japan. The characters are from all around the world so it's not like they'll white wash the Japanese characters. It's just a matter of story; what can be fit into a movie and such.

Just watched the first episode. Oh dear lord, how much have I missed this show. It blows anything and everything away by a nuke for me that is currently airing in July.

I'm so giddy right now!

Dragon ball, lol. And I think James Cameron is still planning to adapt Gunnm/Battle Angel Alita.

But you can bet that the action/violence will be toned down in order to drawn more people.

I always get a kick out of Roberta's prayer of justice. It's just so dramatically bad ass.

I've seen the TV edit version so far, but I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the DVD (or blu-ray maybe?) version soon.

To tell you the truth, I was expecting better quality. Something about the first episode just seems a bit off, but thankfully the action scenes are still well-done.

As for an actress for live-action Roberta (why?), I'd say go for a South/Central American actress.

A lot of us were, though i'm pretty pleased with what he got. Especially during Fabiola's fight scene.

& 'When Johnny Comes Marching Home' is so perfect as the ED for this.

I really liked the older ED. It fit so perfectly with the end of every episode.

True, though 'When Johnny Comes Marching Home' fits this arc so perfectly.

I do consider Gunnm/Battle Angel Alita vaporware until a cast list comes up, and I fucking hope it is before Christopher Lloyd dies, that guy is a perfect match for Desty Nova.

I'm really excited to see the full version when it comes out. Saw the "TV cut" and loved it so much it makes me wonder what they took out.

I wouldn't want a Hollywood remake of Black Lagoon, unless you could get someone like Tarentino or Cuaron for it. >_> If there ever was a live action remake, I want it to be done in like Hong Kong, which is where BL takes much of its inspiration from, anyways.

Yeah it was all laughs after the groan for the guy who got attacked first. Really anyone who was shot got off easy in comparison . Still got to give the girl credit she had some pretty good move. Whole lot of death packed into that small girl.

Overall might have liked more quality, but at least the big fight was pretty impressive. Man that guy should just find a city that won't destroy his bar to such a degree.

*shivers* OH Roberta~ So f'n sexy...yet so f'n scary. And lol at Fabiola - she's so cute when she talks. Hollywood would ruin the magic of this - I don't want it re-done - EVER.

You and me both. Fabiola is sooooooo funny animated.

The animation studio has NO IDEA how happy they have made me with this continuation of one of my favorite series.

Now I just need another season/OVA of Full Metal Panic and I can die happy.

Tha action was good...but i didnt quite like it as much as season 1 & 2, the plot so far is kind of unbelivable and weird, but definitely will keep watching.
"please tell me the stores i need to visit in order to start a war" huh?
