There are 24 episodes total.

If you bought any Chrno Crusade DVD/VCD media now, sorry to tell you that it is a bootleg.

The official Japanese DVD has only released Volume 1 which consists of 2 episodes + a special to date. No foreign companies have bought the licence to distribute Chrno Crusade as of date.

Actually, ADV got the rights to do that.

Also, take a look in the sticky listing the number of episodes known for titles on the forums.

Absolutely bootleg. We have it (and it's my project, yay), but we haven't released any yet. (Nor do we put out 13-episode boxes of first-run shows, by and large!)

Voice cast announced

ADV has Chrno Crusade cast list announced. So it's just a matter of another month or two for them to disclose when they're going to release the DVDs.

Preview of ADV Chrono Crusade Manga

Just in case anyone care or wishes to preview what ADV is going to do with this Manga. This Months (June) Newtype USA has the first chapter as its manga insert. If you don't know, Newtype USA usually comes with a DVD, a poster, and has inside a Manga insert. When they first started it was Full Metal Panic, Then I think it was Angel Dust, Now it is Chrono Crusade. 10$ is really steep for a magazine but you do get lots of stuff. Also, this magazine seems to have some concection to ADV, so if you are Anti ADV, you probably won't enjoy this magazine. Just thought I'd let you know. Sorry if some already said this

You can 'download' the series from the fine people at ADV's web-store or DeepDiscountDVD.

All of it, 100%, no if and or buts, completely licensed.

Sure you can, once again visit ADV's web-store, send them some money and they'll send you a 'download.'

It really sucks that ADV has licensed Chrono Crusade.
So far I have seen the first 8 episodes and I really do like it.
thank goodness ADV will be publishing it soon I hope, and won't butcher it too much

Actually you are in luck, the first DVD has allready been released and the second one will be out next week. As far as butchering goes, they didn't change anything.
You can read a review of the first DVD here

They are very well-done pieces of work, ADV didn't hold back on throwing their best into it. Some minor quibbles here and there, but overall there is really nothing too bad to say about the show so far. Voices aren't much different than the original seiyuus and the script changes are very, very minimal.

Speaking of which, anyone gotten ahold of volume 2? My order shipped on Friday, so I'm awaiting the promised day. I'm looking forward to seeing how Satella's voice/character will be handled, especially in front of Chrono.

really!?
cool!
perhaps I will buy it?
I had found a site to download it but it's taking too long for them to release it.
perhaps I should just go out and buy the series?

And it's also great to hear that they didn't butcher it.
