Hm, maybe if it has directions... and materials like in 3DS Max, you might want to check if all face's normals point forward (in the viewport direction, if not flip them... I suppose if the face is drawn from the backsite it will be transparent) or set the applied materials to 2-sided? (uh actually I don't know anything about inkscape, just a suggestion from my oberservations in Max). Or maybe set the rendering precision of Bezier/Patch/Nurbs elements to adaptive (maybe you used some sort of fast rendering). You can also try to bring thos faces that are not fully seen a little further in the front (in z-direction)... maybe they get overlayed partly by other faces.

Regarding what I mentioned about the ear without color.....
This is what I see after clicking on the link posted here: And this is what I see when I open the file in PS: A problem with IE on my side, perhaps?

No a problem with InkScape.. on KiNA's side..
I can only imagine he's saving it as Png-8 or something and with all the color gradients for the edges its going over the color maximum. Should just save it as jpeg anyway -------------------------------------------------- Concerning the jagged edge issue.. Simple black shape... also some text. (text is also vector ) ..do you see any jagged edges? Jpeg Gif Png-8 Png-24

I love anon ...
2nd version the ear was cause by a bug in Inkscape... saving in .svg an exporting them with GIMp cure the problem.. or updating my inkscape with a newer version that crushed the bug... The jagged edge happens because i was viewing it with irfanview.. O_O as weird as it seem @_@ Ah.. I see last_hope lurking... POST dammit!

Never use IRfanview to view .png files.. On mine, the whole thing literally breaks up. ↑ This is a png w/ transparent background. Also, what screen resolution are you using? I had very jagged lines in photoshop when using a 1024x768 resolution, switching to 1280x1024 fixed the problem.

Great job on the vector.
As for your sigs, I like your lucky star ones the most, its quite simple, and has decent composition compared to others. Its not too contrasted and you should juggle around with filters with c4ds or other tools . I would recommend learning on how to use c4ds more efficiently; Try out adjustment layers like Color Balance, Photo Filter, Selective Color, and for sure Gradient Maps <3; And try to not depend on custom brushes (Yeah its pretty hard to not use custom brushes but its too limited for uniqueness imo :P) |

The circle part within her eyes should have more of a defining stroke, its a bit too thin for me heh (like in this vector http://out3.net/files/181_3pi9v/Haruhi%20Vector.png) & same for some parts of the outlines unless you like very thin lines. Why dont you try out vectoring in PS? It may be better for you since you have experience with it.
I do have to give props for vectoring screenies ^^ |
