Hey guys, just had a quick question. Can ordinary humans not see yokai? Like how in episode 2 the impostors were just walking down the street. I feel like it was explained in season one but I couldn't find anything about it

I think they can go invisible if they wish to. Anyways, another good episode, hope it keeps up like this! Rikuo's fight against Ryuuji was cool, dunno who/what Mamiru is though...for now I'll assume he used to be human, then got into the main branch through a ritual that changed him (brainwash, spirit infusion, whatever). Flashback Nurarihyon looks awesome, I think his group is the same as Rikuo's because Gyuuki is clearly the same, and the others look pretty much alike.

I'm surprised. I enjoyed the first season simply because I really liked the characters a lot (cough yuki onna), but this season they're really pushing the plot hard and I like the pace!

and by the looks of S2 so far, they are gonna animate it NICELY. If they go on like this its gonna be swell with the flashback and the village and the city chapters ... I just hope they don't overdo the cutting things for pace.

Wow, Nurarihyon was awesome back when he was in his prime. It never ceases to bring a smile to my face to see a character who shows no hesitation in taking what he wants, yet brings with him an aura of grandiose and style.

Can't wait to see the showdown between him and Hagoromo-Gitsune. It'll be epic.

Is there a particular reasons why calling her by her name is such a weak spot

? No matter, Nurarihyon is such a heartbreaker

This is so insanely much better than the first season. One of the strongest examples of improvement from earlier seasons I've ever seen. As most people are eager to point out, it usually goes the other way.

The way those youkai beat that guy to death was down-right brutal, he was left a gooey mass of flesh and broken bones. I like the edgier, darker tone the show is taking. Even the art direction is going in this direction, which I just love. Can't wait to see more of this.

Actually the first season had a number of bloody moments as well... This is Deen after all, and they just love their blood geysers.

Nurarihyon used to be such a pimp. I feel a bit bad for Setsura being rejected like that, and I sure hope her daughter won't suffer the same fate. I was pleased she was voiced by Hocchan as well.

A little question about the beginning of the episode: didn't Nurarhiyon already have that wolf youkai "scarf" in Gyuki's flashback? Guess it might have been another one.

In the manga, it seemed to be a retcon ( unless Nurarihyon had a habit of regularly changing wolf pelts ) because the pelt was specifically just obtained, but the anime made it less clear.

In fact, I'd almost say that it seems that he's actually had it already, but simply handed it to someone else before the fight.

I wondered the same thing when he asked for the wolf scarf. Maybe he collects them?

I think in Japan calling someone by thier first name means you are close to them. Correct me if im wrong.

Either way I always wonder who end up being with Setsura if it wasnt Nurarihyon
