It the sheer scale of the difference that is boggling.... JPM-C got fined what is to them POCKET change for their reckless and unethical antics that ruined many, many lives.

It doesn't really matter how much they get fined. The costs will always be shifted somewhere down the totem pole. The executives and the board should get criminal sentences for what they did.

People should not be able to hide behind a corporation when what they did ruined the lives of so many people. In China the higher executives would get executed.

That is what I was referring to actually. I don't actually believe that JPM-Chase repaid all the money owed in cash (more like in accounts receivable from their business), but the fine was a pittance compared to what the damaged caused required for a bailout.

Al-Qaeda reportedly lost 20 million dollars...investing in America.

(Unintended/inadvertent) payback is a b****.

I think that will be Al-Qaeda's new target for this year's 9/11 memorial - hedge firm is going to be blown apart.

Which will lead to another unintended consequence - Al-Qaeda being hailed as heroes.

I will count that as 30% redemption if they hit Goldman Sachs.

Also, they are dumb enough to invest so much in futures while having to hide from the US intelligence agencies - futures contracts are extremely volatile and sensitive to news and speculations that being away from the news world could hit your investment capital pretty bad.

They should have traded in commodities and 10-year bonds, or maybe if they have a little more appetite for risk, options. Futures are just plain too dangerous when you are AFK for a long time.

P.S Commodities are pretty hot right now. Getting ready to go long on sugar and sell by the Santa Rally.
