Get a life draft ^^.
My idea was to make a free open air meeting, where people can chat with each other over anime and manga stuff, so no screening or what so ever, but you can of course dress up, cosplay, if you want. |

Heck, I'm touch-and-go myself. Haven't been to Fanime in a few years, though I might be down for pizza. |

Anyone interested in meeting up for one of the Saturday, August 23rd, showings of Toki wo Kakero Shoujo ("The Girl who Leapt Through Time") at the Brattle Theater in Harvard Square, Cambridge, MA? It's not one of my favorite anime movies, but the Brattle conjures up a number of film-going memories for me. It's where I first learned about the French "nouvelle vague" and directors like Godard and Truffaut back in the 1960's. It's also the movie house that became known for its Humphrey Bogart revivals during Harvard's exam period.
My recent infatuation with anime has its roots in watching European films at the Brattle. I learned to read subtitles and was entranced by the ability to view the world through the eyes of foreign directors. Now that they're showing anime films, maybe they could be convinced to show some other anime programming as well?
