Was it? At first I was thinking it was the mission Claudia sent her and Scythe Master on in that episode and there just happened to be a resemblance.

Watching it again it seems you are correct though since the bag and him being a traveler match.

That must mean the mission is this drug deal and it really is a set-up by Claudia

I still can't understand how most of you didn't figure out that Ein fighting Zwei was a flashback.
Episode 7 gives some background and is more like preparing the stage for the future events.

Zwei continues to become closer to Claudia.

Zwei does some practice driving in her Ferrari F-50.

Claudia makes a favorable drug deal with some mobsters so they'll owe her.

Scythe Master assigns Ein and Zwei to the drug deal.

Ein's emotional barrier continues to weaken when Zwei mentions dreams and Ein recalls the sensations of her homeland.

Claudia tells Zwei to come to her house instead of going on the mission and sends out Lizzie in his place.

Claudia gets approval from the higher ups to eliminate Scythe Master and Ein if they step too far out of line.

Hopefuly this will be a wake up call for Zwei showing Claudia's true intentions/cunning schemes to him and he won't stick at her side when faced at the choice between Ein and Claudia.

Claudia more serious and serious about Zwei...i think she tries to win over him and gain a "pawn" like Skythe Master's Ein. I guess the drug stealing mission is a trap to finish off Ein or frame Skythe Master(it's partially started already). It sems like the people at inferno were lazy to erease Zwei's memories that weakly...at least we know what Ein dreaming about...

I've liked episode 7 actually, even though it wasn't an anime only thing now.
If they hopefully not gonna mess it up, the next episode is gonna be great and exciting.

Well i knew AFTER i watched the episode. I couldn't tell from just the preview. It certainly resembled him, but didn't look like him that much. Plus his moves were different, so that's why i asked.

Was pretty clear to me in the episode what it was referring to, so idk what's up with the confusion.

Episode 7 was good though i would've liked to see what claudia was gonna do to zwei :X

Another good episode, finally got to see what happened in Zwei's past in regards with his encounter with Ein. Claudia and Scythe plot rises to a new level thats beginning to affect Zwei/Ein. Ein showing more emotion of course tho she cuts it off as irrelevant.. Show continues to be one of the top animes this spring.

So let me try and get this straight. It seems like Claudia is trying to band together with some other members of Inferno to give SM a little punishment? I assume that the dealings between Claudia and the other gang about the cocaine wasn't told to SM and neither was his own actions of using Ein and Zwei to jack the train. So basically it has become an internal showdown come next week? Claudia should know that she is sending her forces against Ein but SM should have no idea that his opponent this time is Claudia...

And Zewi is one lucky bastard XD

So uh I just watched the OVA of this series and

What the hell was that? That's got to be the worst OVA in the history of OVA. Ein dies again, dark stupid ending that got chopped at the last minute, horrible character art. Atleast someone tell me the anime's route is not just a stretched out OVA adaptation. Someone tell me Einmustdie@yahoo.com is not the canon ending of this story. Never mind the Requiem for the Phantom title. I don't care about that. The OVA's ending was awful. I neeeed someone to assure me the TV series will be a little bit different so that I can sleep at night.

If I listen more to Ein's voice chanting that everything is useless 24/7. The dreams are illusions. Reality is but a dream. Thinking leads to destruction. I'm probably going to be brainwashed. All 7 episodes so far have nothing but desperation and walking inside a dark dark tunnel. Atleast I want one of those "true endings" from the game version to come waiting at the end. Not the damn OVA's ending.

Zwei this episode is more interesting. I thought after he shot the kid, he would be as emotionless as Ein, but it didn't look like it.

Are you sure you have watched the OVA till the very end, i.e. watch after the credit.

Spoiler for Ending Phantom OVA:

After the credit, you see a black van stops and someone comes out of the van without showing who excactly fires at the "target" (headshot) and after that the black van drives away; then you hear something someone saying the phrase "good job/well done, Ein; I thought it's Scythe Master's voice. So Ein somehow has survived in the OVA story-line and is still doing her job as an assassin.

Bee Train does a great job with the Phantom TV, although I wish the series would be a 26 episodes series rather than a 13 episodes series (13 according Anime News Network). I do expect more drama/tragedy in the TV series since the title of the series is "Requiem for the Phantom".

Zwei isn't lucky. He's being used by Claudia who's trying to destroy the assasination team and SM. Being the last witness to the original plan as told to him by Ein, he prob doesn't have a long life expectancy either if Claudia's plan works imo.

Has the anime given out Ein's and Zwei's ages yet?
